D&D5E by Roll20

Hello, I'm very sorry if i'm not posting this at the correct place. I need help to configure the initiative modifier on my charachter sheet for D&D5e by roll20. I need to add my Charisma modifier AND my Dexterity modifier to my initiative roll. I can't find the solution to automatically add both. By default, the sheet adds the DEX modifier and when I click on the settings of the sheet and try to enter something like "+@{charisma_mod}" it will not be taken into account. If I simply add a fixed value (like 3 for example), the initiative mod will then apply. In any case this will be my solution, but I really wonder if there isn't any way to make that dynamic and link it directly to my CHA modifier. Any of you wise men would know something that might help me ? :)  Thank you in advance, Oro

I can't seem to find a way to force a dynamic bonus to initiative, it seems like manual might be the only way... luckily the mod shouldn't change often enough for it to be more than a minor annoyance... fingers crossed someone has some insight beyond my own quick tests.
That is what I feared. Yes this will indeed be just a minor annoyance, let's just hope I don't forget to update the sheet when I'll boost CHARISMA. Thank you for your quick reply and help anyway :) Oro

Under the character sheet settings, top middle of page, there is a line for initiative modifier.  Put the second stat bonus in there.
As stated by Patrick, There is a spot on the character sheet settings page shown below.

I believe that is what is being tried. The problem is that the field only accepts an integer, not an attribute reference. I.e. you can put in "3", but not @{charisma_mod}. The latter won't do anything.

Strange, the sheet even has that input labeled as "text" instead of "number" so you can type text in there.  I tried [[@charisma_mod}]] to see if that would work.  I don't know enough about sheetworkers to know what is possible, but my suspicion is this:  the field isn't part of the built in initiative macro (if it was, putting in the attribute would work just fine), but is instead grabbed by a sheetworker to update the initiative modifier displayed on the first page, which is then used in the initiative macro.  The sheetworker can't resolve an entered attribute, even if entered as an inline roll, and use that in calculating the total initiative bonus.

That sounds logical, but then, that's why you're one of the guys with a blue badge. :)

As an alternative to having to remember to change that number when your charisma changes, until or unless they fix that field to accept dynamic values, you can always use a custom macro. The way I've written it, it only works from the Attributes & Abilities tab of the sheet as a new Ability, as it doesn't call for any token information, it just uses what is native to the sheet its on. Here is the macro script: &{template:simple} {{rname=INITIATIVE}} {{normal=1}} {{r1=[[1d20+@{dexterity_mod}+@{charisma_mod} &{tracker}]]}} {{mod=[[@{dexterity_mod}+@{charisma_mod}]]}} {{charname=@{character_name}}} If you don't normally have your character's name appear in with the roll, leave off that last part starting with {{charname. It will be identical to anyone else's Initiative roll and will populate into the tracker as normal. I suggest making into a token button so you have to be clicked on the token to see it, since you should be clicked on the token to roll initiative anyway.
