8.5mb JPG failing to upload. Also tried it as a PNG.

Title says it all. The popup specifically cites a 10mb limit, so I'm a bit confused. Does the upload add extra information to the file? Is there a compression issue? It's a big file, 11,900x6,300 pixels, but I specifically set the JPG settings when I saved it in Photoshop so it would create a file of the correct size.

I dropped the quality a tick, the file was 6.5mb, and it uploaded. I would like to figure out why it didn't accept an 8.5mb file though.
I have never been able to get one to upload that large, so I just drop them all to 5mb, and I have a mentor account
Lame. I wonder what's up with that.

It probably depends on how many hops that your connection has to make and transmitting that large amount of data probably causes a corruption between hops or enough lag that you have a sever packet drop. The less hops (connections between relay servers) it alway better for reducing lag which causes packet drops or corruptions.
I have found that it'll give me the error message of not being able to upload it, and it won't go on the map, but it will go to my library and I can search for it and place it that way.
Jarret: I had that happen as well, but the asset lost so much detail that it was basically useless.
