Torch Light

Hey Everyone! So, torch light is 20 feet bright, 20 feet dim. We're playing CoS, and it seems super bright to me, even though it's following what is called for the torch range of light. So I wanted to ask folks opinions about adjusting torchlight to make it more, well, like torchlight, say setting the emit light range to 40, 10 perhaps, or even 40, 5, instead of the standard 40, 20? My hesitation is the fact that the torch, according to the 5e rules for does  shed light per the 40, 20. But tbh the dim isn't really much different on an actual roll20 map to me. So I could set a house rule for torch light, but not sure if this will fly, since it would be a rule specifically created for the Roll20 map and not because I think the 40, 20 range in general game play is inaccurate, and I don't want my players to feel cheated, so to speak, regarding their torches and what light they shed. Thanks in advance for any opinions or input!

At the end of the day, the presentation of lights is just a presentation.  For CoS especially, making it a bit dimmer seems perfectly appropriate to me. =D
Cool, thank you for that feedback!
