Hello hello, now this is my first post in these forums so if I somehow fail to notice something obvious that's pointed out in first post or two, my apologies for wasting time in such case ;) but until then allow me to explain the case behind the proposal. So I play weekly in a single PnP game, however we've opted out to use IRC for in character (IC) and this site for out of character (OOC) matters, mainly we make the dicerolls and the inevitable jests, fourth wall breakers and other non-immersive stuff in the chat here and keep the IC in IRC so that the game flows naturally and neatly. Today I started to sort of question our reasons for doing this, I mean this is perfectly fine site and all, but in the end the current chat really easily gets confusing, over-extended from all the content and a sort of wall of text quite quick. Figured that "hey, why couldn't we separate them here?" And maybe there's already an option, but I failed to find it if that is the case. Here's screencapture just to give better elaboration of what I mean: Now I'm aware that you can expand the chat to the sides, I even usually just zoom out because I have good enough eyes to not require the large font. There's several tabs out there, and maybe if the options allowed adding new "speech" bubble chat tab, that'd be great, or they could be speech bubbles where you can label 3 letters to indicate content like "IC" and "OOC" incase people come up with new ideas, that works too. Maybe even option to choose to have multiple of those tabs open side by side? Because that'd be grand and all that. It's just that currently more or less everything goes in that same one and it just doesn't really have space for 4 or more players using it same time, just during todays session most text went to the chat history twice, and that's without any IC chat which would've made it at the very least twice as long.
