Howdy, my name is Map and I'm running a League of Legends inspired D&D 5e game! Preface: A player of mine from another game of mine wanted to play Xayah with another friend playing Rakan. I told them to use a PDF I found ( https://runeterra.org/en/ ) and they agreed, but want more people in this. I also agreed, as I've been wanting to run a game in the setting of Runeterra for a while now. Very interesting place, very interesting lore. Disclaimer: Speaking of lore, it should go without saying that while Riot has been very good about writing their lore, they haven't been good at compiling it. Short stories, comics, articles and bios are everywhere . So with that being said, it should be known that I will take as much lore from the universe as I can to use in the game, but I may at any time take liberties or judgement calls to expand on or add to our own canon. Whether that be because something isn't clear or nobody can find a relevant article. The Deets: Here are my rules and expectations in a document form: https://docs.google.com/document/d/11QuCD14vokGFTb2XX2ZBPuP5XX5_NJYrfJgMgXENWjY/edit?usp=sharing They aren't built for this game specifically but a lot of the rules still apply to this game as they are entirely based around my DMing style and what I expect of my players. There are additional rules however... Special Rules: -Characters must be canonical champions. No exceptions. -Champions must have a reason to be with the party, whether its relevant to their story/motivations, or maybe you add something interesting that I approve of. -Don't be an evil douche. I get wanting to play Karthus cause he's a lich, but I won't allow evil player characters to run amok in my game. You can be questionably selfish and morally grey, like some champions are, but they will be at my discretion. An argument can be made for your case, and you can add/subtract some things to make your pitch more appealing but I still hold final call. (E.G. Playing Darius or Evelynn, you can rewrite some of the nuances of their characters to make things a bit more possible in a team dynamic. Just because a character once had dialogue expressing hatred for another character who may or may not be in the party, doesn't mean you should go after them. They have free will and common sense.) Start: We will be starting our adventure in Ionia, as for the hook, that will be determined once we know what everyone is playing. We will talk about that on call this week, think of it as a session 0. With all that being said, I hope to hear from you guys soon on Discord (tag is in my rules document) or down below. Discord is quicker though! Take advantage. Cheers
