Of course they do. This has been asked by many people, but the answer is simple. You are looking back at it now , instead of then . Originally, Roll20 put out books and built up support systems (compendium, character sheets, charactermancer). Infrastructure takes time. WotC puts out books faster. There is more interest in things that are new or the latest, particularly in a competitive environment. Also, Roll20 serves a lot more than D&D. Because of these features, new and hot takes precedent over old. Things that were back burnered tended to stay back burnered because there was simply greater demand and market need to keep up with the latest offerings. Imagine the clamor for Xanathar's had Roll20 decided to make that wait for two years so they could take care of Out of The Abyss. Roll20 is finally starting to have the infrastructure (and personnel) to catchup with the older material. I don't know how the huge influx of new users due to Covid-19 affects that, but it probably will.
