LF Players: Pathfinder, Long Lvl 1 Campaign, Tweaked System, Weekend Session Start 10-11AM GMT+8

Hello there forums! I am working on running a newb friendly pathfinder campaign based in an epic fantasy world, with some additions and tweaks to the system here and there to fit the story and make for an interesting campaign. It'll start at level 1 and be a long running epic campaign run every weekend or every second weekend depending on peoples availability. To begin with it'd be like a reverse funnel this campaign of mine, it would start out very narrow and then broaden out until its fully open world, races and classes would be very limited to a tiny pool, but through additions of Artifacts, general magic NPC's and forageable goods even Race is changeable. This and the leveling system we're experimenting with should make things interesting, otherwise it's very close to basic Pathfinder and newbie friendly! We're looking for relatively new, or relaxed players who are willing to experiment here and there as we tweak the additions and system and who won't get super hung up or strict about the rules in the face of fun. The system is still being tweaked and worked on, but it will be very close to normal Pathfinder just with additions and changes here and there for the story, if any of this interests you leave something here or contact me via this site ^^ or if you have any questions for that matter :P
id be very interested in joining this!! what time were you looking to run this EST? i always have trouble with GMT time.
I would also be interested in joining though it would help if you post a little more info for us players like the time and days of the sessions. Other then that I am very interested in joining in on this =)
I'm sorry you did put time my bad
EST (Wow it took way too long to find a good conversion x3) You're straight up 12 hours behind, so it's a bit tricky unless you can play late ^^" 10AM WST (GMT+8) is 10PM EST (GMT-5?) the previous day. It'd be on weekends so if you're able to do so under that premise then that'd be great ^^ I'd be happy to have both of you aboard.

Hey, I'm completely new to tabletop rpgs and the like but have been dying to get into it, I'd totally be down! Of course that is if you guys wouldn't mind my inexperience. Also should note I'm EST too but the late nights actually work out better for me so it wouldn't be an issue.
Hello! Been looking to play for a long time, played 3.5 a bit and I've got the slightest bit of knowledge about pathfinder. I'm EST as well, but depending on the day I should be fine, I can stay up till 1-2am on weekdays if necessary and weekends I'll be good for whenever. Is this going to be purely core books?
It'll be run on weekends so that's perfect ^^, Your inexperience is welcomed! Seems like we've begun quite a sizeable group, races and classes as stated would be very confined to begin with but as we progress they'll evolve and everything will become much more available. In case of the books used we'll be using everything at our disposal, bringing back to the funnel analogy it'd start narrow and broaden out, so the start would be pretty close to the basic core rule books, and as we continue more will be added and we'll include whatever we a GM's deem works :3'
Posting potential interest. Also an EDT player. 10PM is certainly fine for me. I have a strange sleeping schedule most days as well, so it's not really that big of a problem for me to make the time. I'm not a new player to Pathfinder, I've GM'd two campaigns, as well as played in a long-running high powered 3.5 campaign. Overall, RP is the most important part of a game for me, I've played in games like Exalted, or Changeling, where the combat was minuscule, in order to best serve an ulterior motives (activating a powerful poison, to defeat a superior opponent. Literally the only time my character did any sort of fighting). I'm mostly curious how you'd 'funnel out'. Are you heavily relying on rebuild rules, or do characters end up with a mash of levels in various classes for that they -really- want?
RP is indeed an important factor and me and my Co-GM are straight up roleplayers, a lot of this will be done through text minus some GM Narration etc. but Mic will be fine for a decent bit as well, I just find text allows people to be less nervous and more themselves especially around a new group or new game, plus more in depth RP. In case of the funelling we'd be experimenting with a new system and if it doesn't work we'd either try something else or return to the norm and funnel it out through that. Rather than simply dinging and getting whatever skills you want etc. the system would more focus on RP and what exactly you accomplished/attempted to accomplish and your characters back-story, that mixed in with a more traditional "Pathway" system means peoples characters can follow more of a theme, fit in with their backstory and what they want more and allow for some interesting party match ups. It is not fully decided yet but a feature of it would be the idea of not being able to level up something like bluff, without having bluffed between your level up. The Funnel would begin with characters based on backstory, and a small set of classes that will later path-way out into other ones. Of course the path-way can be altered, it's a path yet unbuilt and the characters shall be the ones to truly build it. I'll be giving a more comprehensive description and idea of it once the game is set up, we seem to have a much larger group than I expected so I'm not sure how many more we can fit in and still get things done in a reasonable amount of time but at least we'll never be lacking players :P Races wise, and this may turn people off, all characters would BEGIN Human. Through Artifacts, Magical NPC's, Tainted or Blessed Natural Ingredients and Curses, Players are able to achieve either a fully race change, added Aesthetics, additional buffs or a frankenstein change, of course each comes with a benefit and combinations and negatives either straight up or as a result of combinations, are evident as always. If you're obviously a once human shark-morph with a fox tail, you aren't exactly going to be much but intimidating.
Interesting. The Pathway stuff piques my interest, but the racial bit seems a bit... too narrow. Doesn't that invoke a loss of identity? Characters who start human, and become not-human? It sounds like you miss out on the interesting part of being a different race - the idealism, thought-processes, societies and natures of being innately not human. You get none of that because at one point, you were human. Becoming a different race ends up being a way of saying 'I get better stats', or "I scare people easier", because there's no basis for thinking or acting like a different race. You still -act- human, and would stand out in any of those societies.
The thing about the human thing is that it fits in with the story of the campaign, anything but human and you wouldn't be part of the same thing. If your character comes in later or gets recruited by the party at a later point then them not being human is a far more likely occurrence, but because the beginning essentially begins with characters being relatively young and fresh running errands for a Mage in a deadly mountain town called Willowspeak, having come from various surrounding towns as part of an unexplained tradition. (Very Generic beginning, which branches out in its own way into a far more complex story even involving this point, funnel again.) When it comes to racial identity, that is indeed a problem, and whilst the human thing is still in the realm of thought and testing currently it will quite possibly be the end product, and the change of race wouldn't simply just be a stats change or anything, it would function differently, loss of identity would be a problem and it would mean people can't just frankenstein or change race light-heartedly for the sake of "I want dis." The race change would come with it a conflict of mind and spirit and whilst you were initially a human, through the adventure ahead it becomes more and more likely that you mesh and become adopted into these societies, losing your sense of humanity and instead gaining a new culture to accept or integrate with your original home. This makes home-comings and any adventure involving your original race a further interesting conflict to resolve. Whilst many features are still in discussion and testing stage with my co-gm, we do have a good idea of what we're doing and why, and a few things you'll have to take on faith that we know what we're doing and we'll try our best to have a good and broadening campaign :P other than that we'll keep people in the loop the best we can and the campaigns beginning may be a bit fiddly as we remove and test features in a broader group environment. Once things get rolling however things will get better and smoother and we'll get it all sorted.
Greetings , if you still have some space there I'd like to apply as well. The base from human is an intresting concept, especially if you allow base classes as alchemist, summoners or witches that have very good potential of having dual minded personalities from their origins. Alchemist - Dr Jekyll and Ms Hyde, Summoners in an endless persuit of perfection when he evols together with his eidalon and witches that can be possesed (as a medium) and obtain this form which might be closer to the original body of the spirit. And so on... The mention time is not clear , if we are talking 10-11 AM GMT+8 in Sundays I would be happy to join.I am at GMT+2 making it 16-17 PM games. That would be a very friendly time for me.
As long as there is room I am definitely committed and interested in playing. I am in EST so my question is what day are you planning on playing? and are you starting this week or next week?
To be clearer about the times then ^^" The sessions will begin between 10-11AM GMT+8 atleast once a fortnight, we shall be realistic about real life interference and general people wanting time to themselves on the weekend here and just put this limit on it for now. Saturday and Sunday shall be the meeting days due to my co-gm's work and my own schooling and work during weekdays. The sessions will begin between 10-11AM and run up to around 2:20PM, odd hours I apologize, but these are the hours I am available sadly, real life is quite unfortunate. They can be shortened if required and the sessions will be available between these times any weekend me and my partner are available and a decent amount of players are around and up for it. As for Summoner, Alchemist and Witches and the like, they will indeed be quite interesting and add to it. For a very brief period (Brief overall) Classes will be limited between the generic "Noob" Classes, along with a selection of default "Professions" Which, give you the profession of your choice as an obvious class skill and as a campaign trait for a little bit of a back story boost :3. As you level and generally just as the story progresses new classes will become available, new magics can be learnt earlier at a price, etc. This is the leveling system we're testing which I alluded to, it's a work in progress and we're not certain if it will be the final product or whether we'll scrap it after a few test sessions, but it is the current idea which will allow us to still keep to the fun and simplicity of a basic campaign once everything is sorted out and we can explain it to the group as a whole. We'll have to sort out the party, and exactly how many people we're going to be having, for now I'm keeping the campaign all doors open and just seeing how many interested parties and what type of people are interested. The system is still to be polished, the maps and story properly documented and set up so we're not entirely creating things whilst people are making characters and I need to consult with my co-gm, but we will be beginning around next weekend if people are available and real life does not interfere.
Ok sounds kool. So if me and its other guy are 12 hours behind does that mean the sessions would be Friday and Saturday for us? If so I'm good with that. I would be really interested in joining this group.
That it will Thast, Friday 10/11PM and Saturday 10/11PM is when it'll begin for you :3 I'm glad you and everyone else have showed so much interest.
thanx for the clarification and this way that you are doing it seems like it will be alot of fun and honestly i really looking forward to it and would be glad to be apart of it if you'll have me =)
Awesome, should I do any reading/preparing before hand so I'm at least somewhat prepared and don't drag things down too much?
Just read up on your basics, figure out what you can and prepare a loose idea of what kind of role and character you'd like to play, read up on the different corebooks etc if you have time and all that ^^ Don't worry about dragging down or anything, you'll be fine :) Our first session will quite possibly be a whole week from now so, relax :P
Alrighty will do, and looking forward to it, thanks!
Hello again people! So because we've had such a large amount of interest compared to what we were expecting and are able to GM we'll have to do a sort of survey or mini-application for us to look over and get to know you. It's not much, just so we can get to know people, their RP style...well you'll see. Out of people who apply/ answer we'll take a good look and choose the group we believe will work best together in the setting we intend to provide....wish we could GM everyone but we're not available for exceedingly long lengths of time nor do we intend to GM a half hour combat round :P Without further babbling, the application: Age: Gender: Current experience level with tabletops: Preferred party role: Describe your level of skill in role-play: Preferred method of communication: Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: Small sample of role-play: Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: I apologize in advance if any questions are private or seem unnecessary, we're looking to find the best group we can and have them match up and be balanced with experience and personality so that we can all enjoy the campaign to the fullest ^^.
Hey! Kinda late to the party here but I'm at GMT +10 and am certainly interested. I suppose I'll fill out the application thing... Age: 21 Gender: M Current experience level with tabletops: Been playing tabletop games for 10+ years (Games workshop games, warhammer, 40k, Blood bowl etc) and been playing D&D related RPG's for about 4 years now. Play with a group once a week (Edge of the Empire) Preferred party role: Support/healer/support magic. Describe your level of skill in role-play: Well 4 years of experience. I'm certainly not the best in the world but I'm competent. Preferred method of communication: Skype I guess? Doesn't really bother me. Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: Looks fine, I love the pathfinder system (Except I won't be able to be a Tengu.... Much sad) Small sample of role-play: Did... you want me to write roleplay here? Or an example of my roleplaying?? Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: Super layed back, as long as everyone is having fun and enjoying the game I'll be having a great time.

I am also interested in playing so here is my application: Age: 19 Gender: M Current experience level with tabletops: A long time ago I used to play Warhammer 40k. I also used to play a few RPG's with my brother and his friends but did not fully understand the rules. Preferred party role: Most of the RPG's I played were pretty unconventional so I don't really have a preference but I guess I would like to try playing a mage character most of all. Describe your level of skill in role-play: Inexperienced. Preferred method of communication: I suppose I am more at ease typing however I don't mind audio/video chatting. Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: Sounds fine to me. I have some qualms about the race change half-shark foxtail thing. It just sounds a little weird to me and I'll have to suspend my disbelief (in a fantasy game!). Small sample of role-play: Here's an example from a recent game of Battlestar Galactica: The Board Game. After singlehandedly defending the fleet from a massive Cylon offensive that looked like it would end in our certain doom I, Admiral Karl "Helo" Agathon used my imagination brain to issue a public statement. Preceding the statement President Gaius Baltar told me, "You... you did it... your a hero!" My statement went something like this: "My fellow Colonials, there are some who call me a hero, but were it not for your courage and discipline, we would not be standing here today. You are the true heroes on this day. However, between the constant water rationing and the frankly poor leadership on the part of President Baltar I see no other option but to throw my hat in the ring and run for president in the coming election." "Wait, what" said Baltar. "I'm sorry it's nothing personal, just politics I'm afraid. And the public loves a war hero. You understand." What followed was a mudslinging campaign where we both accused each other of being a damned dirty toaster. Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: Also laid back. I'm not too interested in the mechanics of a game or its rules, I played RPG's because I was interested in the Role Playing part as opposed to the Game part and I enjoyed the modelling/painting part of 40k more than I did the actual tabletop part. Hopefully this gives you an idea of my personality...
Age:25 Gender:M Current experience level with tabletops:Close to zero ...does Baldur's Gate count? Haha Preferred party role:Rogue Describe your level of skill in role-play:Unknown Preferred method of communication:Voice/Text it's all good Opinions/Thoughts on system presented:Sounds different and I like trying new things. Small sample of role-play:I'll continue the trend of being unsure 'bout this one Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: I like to take it easy and enjoy myself, but extremely determined once I set my sights on something.
I thought the sample of RP would be rather self explanatory but...It's a sample...of your RP. You write a piece or grab something you've done before, to show a sample, of your roleplaying .-.". So I can see your skill level for myself and your general writing style, as for level of skill in RP I'd prefer if people actually put something there rather than just defaulting to unknown :P It should be easy to look at your past experiences and go "I'm not that experienced" or "I've been RPing for quite awhile and I've gotten decent at it." so take the time to do so please!
Age: 48 Gender: Male Current experience level with tabletops: 35 years Preferred party role: Fighter/warrior/soldier Describe your level of skill in role-play: Experienced Preferred method of communication: In person/voice though I do roleplay extensively via text in a MMORPG. That said, I must admit I am a slow typer. Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: Very interested. I have been looking to find a long term fantasy based campaign since my last one finished some years ago now. Small sample of role-play: The following is taken from a chatlog. Names have been changed to protect the innocent. A is my character. A's slight smile fades, "So, what are we to do? I care not for recriminations but only for solutions. As it stands, we are divided and I need not tell you, with your experience, what that portends." ((Other character's response.)) A looks at him and shakes his head, "What you have attempted to avoid has already begun. Distrust and anger are setting in. To undertake this action, without the full support of the others, will break this company. I understand your concerns but you do all of us a disservice. By doing this, you have not given us the chance to come together. Rather than believe in hope, you surrender to despair. You have acted, with the best of motives, exactly as our Enemy would want. If Barad-Dur and Isengard knew of this, their foundations would rock with laughter." Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: Games are supposed to be fun and I treat them as such.

Age: 17 Gender: Male Current experience level with tabletops: Low, only two or three games. Preferred party role: Depends more on the character I come up with, although so far I've primarily played divine classes such as clerics or druids,, so I'd like to try something besides that. Describe your level of skill in role-play: I don't do it very often, although It's something I'm looking for. Preferred method of communication: Text. I do have a microphone if needed however. Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: It's different, but I'm willing to try. I don't really like the limitations to one race as it seems to signifigantly lower the role-play aspect, where race comes in frequently, same with class. I'm willing to try, however, it's something new at least. Small sample of role-play: (Not from D&D, but from something else I've done. Post apocolyptic setting, the sun is gone, the world is frozen.) “What happened on this train?” Aqua asked. “Huh?” Sol said. “Who were these people?” Aqua asked. “They look like they died too long ago to be of much concern now.” Amethyst said. “I’m not worried about something on the train, I’m worried about what’s outside.” Aqua said. “It’s so white. You’d think nature would get bored, being all one color.” Sol said. Aqua entered the front of the train, and looked out the windows. White whipped by him, the snow seemed to run through his vision. “You really seem to be having fun with this thing.” Aqua said. “It’s amazing! Have you seen how fast we’re going?” Sol said. “Yeah, it’s pretty fast.” Aqua said. “These suits are really annoying.” Amethyst said. “They’re a precaution. With the train generating heat, we should be okay regardless soon, but I wouldn’t risk it. “I will.” Amethyst said. “I can’t stand this.” Amethyst pulled her helmet off, letting her hair hang down freely. It was a bit chilly, even with the train’s heat, but nothing too bad. “Guys, it’s fine.” she said. “Don’t leave the train without it on, though.” Aqua said. Sol began to remove his as well, and was exposed to the open air for the first time. He drank it in, let it fill his lungs. “C’mon Aqua, it’s a lot better without it.” Sol said. “If you say so.” Aqua said. Sol helped him pull his helmet off, and they slid the suits off “Hey guys! Catch!” They heard Amethyst yell, as a bag flew towards them. “Gah!” Sol said, trying and failing to catch it. Aqua simply used his magic to catch it, and looked inside. “What is it?” Aqua said. “Food, I think.” Amethyst said. “You think?” Sol said. “I found it on the kitchen car.” Amethyst explained. Inside the bags were various jars of preserved foods, such as canned fruits. “Apples.” Aqua read from one of the cans. “Oh, and this.” Amethyst said, tossing a can opener, not quite as hard as the bag. Sol actually caught the can opener, and began to use it on the can. Inside were small chunks of a whitish fruit, and he took one out and ate it. “Any good?” Aqua asked. “It’s...amazing.” Sol said. “You have to try this!” Already Sol felt as though he made the right choice, no longer stuck within a small metal container deep within the earth. He was free, and he had apples. Aqua levitated an apple slice from the can, and popped it in his mouth. The sweetness of the apple rushed through his mouth. “This is great! Why didn’t we have these down there?” Aqua asked. “What are you two going on about?” Amethyst asked, entering the front of the train. Amethyst levitated one of the apples, and popped it in her mouth. Surprised, she slowly started to chew. Her eyes shot open, this was the most delicious food she had ever tasted. Amethyst opened the bag, and there were all sorts of other canned foods inside. “Well, we'll eat well for a while.” Aqua said. “A while? This will last forever!” Sol exclaimed. “Not with Amethyst around. She eats for at least three.” Aqua said, with memories of her eating some of his food rations “Funny.” she said, grabbing another of the apples. As she took one, she turned the can, showing them a label on the front, which read "Apples.” Several more cans and bags were emptied, all with delicious foods within. Amethyst let out a loud yawn, her eyes drooping. “We should probably take shifts sleeping, and keeping the train running. I sleep first.” Amethyst said, falling over into one of the train seats. “I’ll go feed the engine.” Aqua said, walking down to it. Sol looked outside, but saw absolutely nothing except what was directly next to the train. He grabbed his helmet, and used the light on it to see further. The ground was completely bare. Plain white surrounded them for miles. Sol continued to scan the surroundings, until he found a large beam of wood shooting into the sky. Suddenly, they began to sprout up all around him. They had smaller chunks hanging off of them in random patterns. He lay back, scanning through the forest, looking at the branches with curiosity. Aqua entered, and sat with him, staring up at the trees. Sol scanned the sky, and found something spectacular. A small dot, shining brightly. The two of them found many more of the twinkling sparks in the sky,and were in awe. “Sol?” Aqua asked. “Yeah?” “What do you think we’ll find? Out there?” “I dunno. But it has to be better. I know it.” “How?” “In my dreams. I saw this... woman. An elegant princess. She was out here.” “Wait, you saw this in your dreams?” “But it was real. I know it. She was in this big city, some place you’d never see underground. There was free air, and beautiful buildings. Just wait until you see it!” “I hope you’re right.” “I know I am.” “Sol?” Aqua asked. “Yeah?” “What do you think we’ll find? Out there?” “I dunno. But it has to be better. I know it.” “How?” “In my dreams. I saw this mare. An elegant princess. She was out here.” “Wait, you saw this in your dreams?” “But it was real. I know it. She was in this big city, some place you’d never see underground. There was free space, and beautiful buildings. Just wait until you see it!” “I hope you’re right.” “I know I am.” (Sorry that was kinda long) Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: Admittedly not all that talkative, but I very much enjoy the character and world-building aspects of roleplaying, along with the gameplay mechanics.
Hi there! A bit late to the party, but my buddy Thast and I are looking to do a game together and he likes the looks of this here game. The mechanics are funky, but I'm willing to give it a shot. So here goes: Age: 32 Gender: Female Current experience level with tabletops: 20 years, started when I was 12. Preferred party role: Any, really. I'm told I'm best at being a wizard, but I have done Rogues, Paladins, and a Paladin who thought he was a bard. Long story :) Describe your level of skill in role-play: Experienced. I ran a game of MERP roughly 3 years ago now, and one of the players loved the world so much she asked if we could do some email RP to flesh out her characters ending. This RP thread of the two of us is still going lol. Preferred method of communication: Roll20, email, skype. I'm flexible. Opinions/Thoughts on system presented: I like the word 'Funky' for it. There's a lot to take on faith and that piques my interest. I'm also interested in how you begin human and become something other. Small sample of role-play: I'll copy/paste some RP from the email thread I mentioned with my player. Her character is Mia, a noble woman helping out the towns folk. She is talking to a guard, and the topic is on whether humans needs labels, as it divides people and causes wars, etc. Sample: Gregory chuckles. "Maybe we don't need labels, but I'm sure there would be some mischief with people not knowing a beorning (NOTE: a shape changer who often shifts when they lose their temper) when they met one. Had that happen to me at a bar once, and I'm lucky to have walked away from that fight!" he says, and he'll point to a faint scar on the back of his hand. "Before your efforts... I would have said labels were a needed evil of this world. Now, I wonder if there are any needed evils, or if we've just been lying to ourselves about them. The difference your people have made is just astounding, Lady Mia, and I'll gladly tell everyone that!" I can post a whoooole lot more, but I'll leave it short ;) Finally, describe your personality in a short sentence or two: I'm easy going, carefree type of gal who loves gaming. I'm also wacky, zany, and clinically I'm even insane (true story!). I'm also bad with computers, as I had my wife type up some sentences for this and I accidentally deleted it lol. Lastly, I am already committed to a game on Wednesday, and I'm looking to do a second game with my friend Thast. I can't juggle three games, so if he doesn't make the cut here I'd have to bow out even if offered a position. Thank you for your time! V
Age:17 Gender: Male Current experience level with tabletop rpg: almost a year of local group play as a tanky paladin Preferred Role: tanky melee who defends allies and/or uses support magic Describe skill in RP: i am good at improving in he story and am proficient at combat. i like to try new ideas or find interesting solutions to rp problems Preferred method of communication: since my computer sux i cant use skype and i don't have a camera to video chat so text box dialogue is my only choice. Small Sample of RP: I didnt know hoe to do this so i just choose this, Sitting at a table in the back corner of the inn we had a good view of the rest of the room. we waited for our companion to arrive at the agreed time. our query sat opposite of the room, celebrating with ale and laughter. The four men each wore padded armor and had a healthy solid build to them. Some whistled at passing by waitresses and tried to persuade them to join them. occasionally reaching to them only to get a hand across the face and followed by an eruption of laughter and snidey remarks. i looked at our group and saw the four of us looked like a unusual gathering. some were edgy with anticipation for what is to come and others were drinking and having a great time. Gadis the hobbit(half-ling) rogue could stop himself from smiling that mischievous smile he usually makes. The clock struck one hour before midnight, it was time to begin the operation. wringing my hands nervously I glanced towards the entrance where she would arrive from. Moments later the door swung open gently as a women stood in the doorway. She had finally arrived. Leeta walked in with the grace of a cat. Her newly acquitted dress fell along side her body from below the shoulders to just above the knees, complimenting all of the natural curves and womanly features. Her straightened black hair lay upon her right shoulder like silk. even from as far as we were we could tell she was breath taking. the hobbit released a slightly muffled giggle, clearly enjoying the irony. Leeta shot her eyes at us and briefly displayed her disgust in her attire and dislike for the plan but she quickly regained her composure and seemed to glide to the bar. It didnt take long to get the attention of our "good friends." the exchanged a serious look and rose from their chairs in unison. the surround our half-elf beauty like flies to a flame. Our group couldn't hear the conversation but figured it wasnt anything she wasnt accustomed to. we ordered another round of drinks and waited for her to give the signal. Suddenly one of the men grabbed her by the hair and she reached for the weapon that was no longer there. we didnt need to wait for the signal and sprang into action. Description of self: i am a team player and very commited to games. i try to do my best to improve the group and make sure everyone has fun. i usually get along with everyone. thats me hope it was enough cause that is all i got =) -Thast
Oops forgot my opinion of RP presented. I think it is definitely and interesting take on role playing and think it would be a great experience and just love RP in general so I would love to experiment with this style :) -Thast
Hey Bro Sparkles...looks like me and you are in the same boat =P Nice name btw -Thast
Also FYI me and Vicky are a package deal. If you take one of us you hav to get the other or neither of us join. Sorry if it makes things complicated but those are our terms. -Thast
Alrighty, an update to interested parties. The original idea for the RP has thusly been scrapped for a later date and the story changed, although since you didn't know the story it will not have a huge profound effect on you. Nonetheless other things as part of this will so please pay attention ;P So, we have removed the overtly complicated and unbalanced class system we intended to attempt, whilst interesting and fun in the original setting it would require an immense amount of time just to level and unlock classes etc and change it to better suit a less...accidentally home-brewed campaign. So we shall be running a Mongrelman campaign, based around a quest and need to be accepted and treated like people in society by proving themselves as more than monsters. The PC's can be Mongrelmen or a small assortment of other Frankenstein like races and characters will be rolled on the day (Which will be tomorrow) I'll be PMing people whose apps have been accepted within the day and we can get things sorted for this weekend session if people are still interested. It's still an epic fantasy campaign from lvl 1 and all that so don't worry there. On a side note Thast: When you're looking to join someone's campaign which you have to apply for, do not put demands or things like "Those are our terms." :P It does not sit well with me and makes you look like a demanding and non-cooperative player, that said I am still considering you and Vicky as per normal and all that, just a heads up ki nda thing for future ^^
I do apologize for my rudeness the other day. I was half asleep when I wrote that and having a bad day. It was completely uncalled for and I am disappointed in myself for saying that. I dont want to be demanding or pushy and appreciate the second chance. Also I have another question when you say mongrelmen campaign what do you mean? Is that like a variation of pathfinder like monster race wise or a whole new rpg system all together? And tomorrow we r meeting up in a roll20 game to make our characters or what did u mean in the meeting tomorrow? Sorry if I'm asking alot of questions :/ -Thast
Mongrelmen are a race in Pathfinder, amalgamations of body parts from other races born into a race with it's own culture and society. They're complete out-casts, freaks, monsters etc. in the eyes of the rest of the world and can be born with almost any manner of parts. If your app is accepted I'll PM you and we'll be meeting in a roll20 game tomorrow to make our characters and get the campaign started. With Mongrelmen each body part is rolled based on a table and randomized through that, and me and my partner glmstr will be adding a few extra body parts, on top of the Mongrelmen will be a few other "Frankenstein" races to choose from for a little bit of extra variation (As if dozens of different body parts wasn't enough :P) Don't worry about the rudeness or anything, it really wasn't anything just a heads up for the future and what-not. Questions are good, and I've discussed our choices with my partner and we've decided mostly whom will be accepted into the campaign, PM's will be going out before tomorrow as we finalize and set as much as we can up prior to the session ^^" <a href="http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/</a>... A Mongrelman link here. Mongrelmen are interesting as they have such huge variations between each one, they're docile, peaceful and hard-working creatures treated like monsters and enemies of everyone. Thus they are constantly hunted or enslaved and generally live hidden, or in dark and un-welcoming parts of the over-world. Not to mention their naturally short life-span, thus the campaign shall involve all of these aspects into quite an interesting and even thought provoking manner, the treatment of outcasts based on appearance or assumptions and how we've treated these outcasts and "Freaks" in the real world. Prepare for the epic fantasy adventure of the worlds meek and for once not it's granduos gifted heroes.
So this campaign will be like any other except the players will be mongrelmen? And what do you want us to do for the app you when like us to give like what do we have to tell you or is it the ones we sent in before for the other original campaign? -Thast
Kinda, we'll be having homebrew here and there just not crazy batshit amounts or ridiculously complex set ups. The app is yes, the app you sent in before, it would be kinda of redundant to do an app just so I can see who to ask for an app for...that's entirely unreasonable .-.
