Hey Rob, Really kind that you're reaching out and doing this for your mate. Roll20 can be daunting at first but after about an hour it all becomes second nature. Just wondering, is it just the two of you or were you bringing a few friends to the game? I'd only really be able to run if there were four of you so just keep that in mind. A little bit about me, I am a professional DM based in the UK, but have quite the strange schedule and so am able to DM nearly any timezone. I have a tonne of experience running 5e oneshots for groups. If you would like to find out more about me and my services, feel free to check out my Roll20 profile where you can find out more about me and further links to my other social media. I have two oneshots that have recieved some great feedback so far. One is a horror themed game that'd take a couple of 4 hour sessions to get through. The other game however is a 5e interpretation of Jack and the Beanstalk which has proven to be a great bit of fun. Either should be fine as long as you're at least a little clued up on the rules. If you'd like to know more about me, my services, or my games, you can either follow the links in my profile, or feel free to message me directly! I have a bunch of testimonials I can share from other players and even recordings of some of my gameplay (but only watch that if you're okay with spoilers!) Regarldess of what you decide, Roll20 is a great way to play D&D with your mates and I hope you guys have a fun time. Cheers -Billybob
