I’m looking for the best free token maker. I have seen a video that referred to a couple different ones but that video is like 3 years old. So what is everyone using to make tokens?
TokenTool v2 IMO is the undisputed best token maker. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/237581/TokenTool-Microsoft-Windows?manufacturers_id=12049 There's a mac and linux version there too. It can take individual graphic files, or a pdf with lots of images and present you with a list of images on each page, and you convert them to tokens simply by dragging them on to a token panel. You have a lot of different token borders you can use, as well as creating your own.

I've been using the original TokenTool with no problems for 6 years now, but I'll have to check out the new version. (I see it's still a Java program, with a different JRE for Windows, Mac, & Linux. Nice!)
I use GIMP and some template token frames to quickly throw tokens together. Each one takes me less than 10 seconds, it's basically muscle memory now lol.

Agreed - I used the original but then abandoned it for things like gimp and token stamp and even campaign cartographer sometimes (whichever I happened to be in the mood for at the time). When I stumbled across TokenTool 2, I was blown away by it.
