Duplicate character when moving them

Hey there this happens to me very often when I move character around in folders. So when I move character as Dm often time they get duplicated, and the problem if I delete one the other too is deleted, so it quickly pollute the journal. It happen to me in the lost mine of phandelver game, the tomb of annihilation game I run with the dnd 5e  system.
