Salutations my fellow adventurers, my name is Gibson and I am scouring the Multiverse in search of 2 perfect players to come be a part of my 5th edition dungeons and dragons game! If you have the time to spare take a look at my add and reply to this if you think you'd be a good fit! A bit about your DM: 25-year-old full-time software engineer with too much time on his hands. I've been a geek since day one and a fan of creative writing since I was old enough to pick up a pencil. I got introduced to D&D back around 2012 so I have been playing/running games for most of my adult life. I have been running D&D Pathfinder primarily with various smaller systems like BESM and the occasional simple sheet D&D with friends. Over the past six months, I was introduced to 5th edition and instantly fell in love with the system's simplicity and ease of access to get into. I want to take that pure-hearted fun that 5e is built for and invite some folks into a homebrew world for countless adventures and challenges to come. About the Game: The Black Books is a homebrew sandbox campaign setting based in the common lands of the world Apolis. Here the great weave that binds all things frays and tears like a flag amongst a great storm. In these broken fields of causality, great beasts, mysterious artifacts, and eldritch concepts seep far beyond their homes and cause havoc for all they come across. Nothing stands in their way barring one thing: you. You my wayward palmer are a prospective huntsman; a friend of mortal kin, hunter of riches and power, and scourge of those seeking to destroy the world in which you live. Will you and your ragtag band of comrades manage to become hunters of such terrible beasts that threaten the world you know or will the maws of the unknown drive you to a grim fate predetermined so long ago? Game Specs: Game Type: 5th edition Dungeons and Dragons Location: Online via Roll 20 Time: 8-11:59 pm Central U.S. (Preferable Weekdays possible is: Monday nights with an alternate of Tuesday Night) Voice System: Discord Sheet: 5e Roll20 sheet Custom Rules: Luck Point mechanic and a possible insanity mechanic to be discussed later. About you: You are a fan of dungeons and dragons and have been around the block with at least one system. You tend to play lively energetic characters and don't mind voicing yourself through the roles you play. You also understand there is no I in team and that, quite frankly, you tend not to be chaotic evil in real life. Highly preferable you would also be 18+ and generally just a nice person all around. The current members and I want somebody who is here to be consistent, have fun, and just not be overly creepy (unless you are a necromancer of course). Expectations of Courtesy for my Table You have Good(ish) microphone quality Okay with this game being possibly streamed Accepting of having fun, making mistakes, and learning just like everyone else Being fine with mature content (excluding erp elements) and can be a mature and enjoyable player in the party. Understanding and patient with others Consistently on time or if a session is going to be missed, you will send a simple message or text ahead of time. Open-minded and don't mind LGTBQ+ party members What you get out of it: An in-depth weekly game of 5e D&D. More world lore than you can shake a stick at. A maintained and easy resource accessible discord and possible DnD beyond use. Jolly cooperation with new friends on new adventures A (semi-well) edited character portrait and custom game token to use via roll 20 and for personal use! A consistent and mature environment to nerd out, have fun, and roll some dice! (Before)
(After) Now if you have gotten this far and are still interested this is what I would love to happen next: Post these things as a reply to this post! Name or Online Handle: Age: Country: Give me a small idea about a character you would enjoy playing. he/she/they can be any alignment, race, or class. I just would love to see how you and that magnificent brain of yours works! With this all said, thank you for the time to read my post.
