[LFP] Wayward Palmer's wanted for custom 5th Edition game

Salutations my fellow adventurers, my name is Gibson and I am scouring the Multiverse in search of 2 perfect players to come be a part of my 5th edition dungeons and dragons game! If you have the time to spare take a look at my add and reply to this if you think you'd be a good fit! A bit about your DM: 25-year-old full-time software engineer with too much time on his hands. I've been a geek since day one and a fan of creative writing since I was old enough to pick up a pencil. I got introduced to D&D back around 2012 so I have been playing/running games for most of my adult life. I have been running D&D Pathfinder primarily with various smaller systems like BESM and the occasional simple sheet D&D with friends. Over the past six months, I was introduced to 5th edition and instantly fell in love with the system's simplicity and ease of access to get into. I want to take that pure-hearted fun that 5e is built for and invite some folks into a homebrew world for countless adventures and challenges to come. About the Game: The Black Books is a homebrew sandbox campaign setting based in the common lands of the world Apolis. Here the great weave that binds all things frays and tears like a flag amongst a great storm. In these broken fields of causality, great beasts, mysterious artifacts, and eldritch concepts seep far beyond their homes and cause havoc for all they come across. Nothing stands in their way barring one thing: you.   You my wayward palmer are a prospective huntsman; a friend of mortal kin, hunter of riches and power, and scourge of those seeking to destroy the world in which you live. About you: You are a fan of dungeons and dragons and have been around the block with at least one system. You tend to play lively energetic characters and don't mind voicing yourself through the roles you play. You also understand there is no I in team and that, quite frankly, you tend not to be chaotic evil in real life. Highly preferable you would also be 18+ and generally just a nice person all around. Name or Online Handle: Damien Age: 30 Country: United States of America  Character: A half elf / half bronze dragon Blood hunter whose village was wiped out by a ferocious black dragon when she was just a child. Driven by vengeance she would undergo less than ethical means in order to obtain the power to eventually avenge her parents. Later on in life she would find a new family in a group of roaming mercenaries who survived by taking on odd job after odd job. She is quiet only unless it is absolutely necessary for her to insert herself into a conversation; much preferring to stick to the job so it is done as neatly as possible.   A bit about me: I started off by playing both pathfinder and 3.5 back in my college days. Eventually I got into 5th edition and have loved it ever since; but finding the right game has been quite challenging. My longest running game has been a home brewed BESM game that my friend ran for over three years .As well as having watched quite a few different D&D Podcast such as The Adventure Zone, Critical Role, and High Rollers.  Below is the artwork I had commissioned for her a while back when I first played her. However I have other character ideas if she doesn't fit in setting. I have a triton bard, tiefing sorcerer, and a fallen aasimar paladin.And yes I do have art for all of them.     

Name or Online Handle: Dylan Age: 23 Country: US Give me a small idea about a character you would enjoy playing. he/she/they can be any alignment, race, or class. I just would love to see how you and that magnificent brain of yours works! I'd have to learn a bit more about the world since it's homebrew to come up with a full idea, but I've got a few in my mind in terms of class/race/build and general idea. The one up at the top is a Hexblade Warlock tasked by the Raven Queen (or whatever equivalent there is) to collect memories in exchange for relieving him of his own. A tragic character, seeking to forget his past. Some of the others include a LE order domain cleric, another Warlock but of the Celestial and focused around tanking/support, or an echo knight from the new Critical Role book. It would all depend on what fits best.

Name or Online Handle: Eclipse Age:21 Country: United States Character(s): Though I would have to get to know the campaign better I am one of those people who makes a thousand characters that they will never play. Lately, I have loved the idea of a fallen Aasamar (warlock/cleric/paladin) who's essentially on divine parol and has to earn back his powers. I also wrote up a Wizard who's spellbook is actually a deck of playing cards and wanders the world as a traveling street magician. And lastly, a 200-year-old Teifling that somehow escaped the Raven queen, but at a hefty cost.

I love the roleplay aspect of the game and go full character/voice. I listed some characters and the voices  I have prepared below. Dragonborn/ barbarian very blunt character refers to himself as the best at everything. Is illiterate but pretends to know how to read. I do this character with a thick Russian accent Half-elf/lore bard smooth talker raised in the streets. His hands are as quick as his mouth. If he's not talking you out of your money its because he already has it. Conman extraordinaire he's always plotting his next big score. I do him with a cockney accent/ he has a nobleman grift that I use a southern accent for Human/paladin just a real swell guy. Probably the swellest. He cares for all his party mates even those who are less then virtueses. He knows in time he will convert them all into truth and justice warriors as this is the way. I would use a deep gentle southern accent for him Forest gnome/druid Sweetest two and a half feet of heart you'll ever meet. Country bumpkin basically raised in a hippy commune. Tiny bugger left his home to go on a bit of a walkabout. He's essentially a tiny Steve Irwin. I do him with an Australian/newzealand accent  Hopefully that gives you an idea, also willing to come up with something else if the party needs it. Sorry for spelling/grammer I'm on my phone. Name or Online Handle: Brett/ @Bretticussupreme#0026 on Discord Age: 31 Country: US of A in SoCal The character I most recently conceptualized was a lizardfolk circle of spores druid/ way of mercy monk named Neriqarin "Riqa."  Riqa is a mild mannered priestly druid who roams the wilds looking for sign of unnatural corruption and saving lost travelers.  He is on a pilgrimage to find "The Great Grave" a sight of where Dragons go as their lives are leaving them to die in peace amongst their own kind.  He has been traveling for 10 years and has met many folk and treated many wounds, as well as taking the lives of ignorant and reviled poachers.  He loves a good story, and finds bonding over a fresh hunt is the best way to get to know a person. "Rest now my friend, your time is done.  Your spirit is set free to roam with the ancestors while your body returns to dust.  As for the one's who did this to you, Riqa will pay them a visit and make them feel the sorrow wrought by their ignorant ways."     

Hey there! I'd love to apply, especially since it looks like you have a passion for your craft. That said, I would primarily be applying with Amaghai. His post should show up probably just before or after this one, we've been close friends for forever, and just need some more DnD. In regards to the character, I am more than willing to change it to better fit the group. The one I'm applying with is just a character I've had mulling about forever but unfortunately seems to only get into groups that never get off the ground.  Name or Online Handle : I'm Liz, but my online handle in basically everything is Fethend. Country : I'm in the United States. Specifically Colorado. Character Concept : (I'll keep it pretty brief in this part, but I do have a big old google doc  HERE  if you wanted to read the expanded backstory for her.) Shae had a lot of expectations thrust on her by circumstances of her birth. Heroes come and go, rise and fall. But a hero's story doesn't often extend beyond their life. Shae is the extension of a hero's life. Her father was a renowned Paladin, a hero of the people. Charitable, powerful, kind, humble. He was everything anyone could want in a hero. And so, those who knew of him expected similar greatness from his only daughter. Shae disappointed a lot  of people. She didn't have the natural gift her father had, but she had a drive and determination bred from stories and stares. She had to fight tooth and claw, but she swore that she would not only live up to the expectations thrust upon her, but surpass them. The Norada name would become legend. Not because of her father, but because of her. She was certain of it, even if deep down, she questioned the legitimacy of her own desires. Whether her almost reckless drive towards greatness and destiny was truly within her grasp.

For characters and classes I have a few in my bag of tricks that I can tailor to fit the world a little better depending on rolls and classes. The main one id like to play is a Half-Dragon (Or Dragonborn if not allowed) either paladin or Fighter with the Urchin background. A character concept i came up with that ive yet to fully realize and I think this world would be a fun fit from the description ive read so far.  A few others: Elven Rogue dedicated to the shennanigans of Erevan                        Eladrin wizard who's temperament changes with his seasonal attribute (which changes with every rest)                        Dual wielding ranger with about 12 flavors of race/background info (Ranger best class)   As a side note im looking to join a campaign with Fethend, so if possible to accommodate us both in your group id appreciate the opportunity to play!

Name: Harry Discord: Starry Quill#3466 Age: 32 Country: UK (But I can commit to the Monday Evening Slot - I can also do a passable Scottish accent for my character XD) Character I'd want to Play: Balack Oakfist - Hill Dwarf Druid. Balack was born into a fairly typical Dwarf family. Stoicism and Stubborness run deep within his soul, but it is also tempered with a gentleness that comes from his connection to the world that he has forged over his years of life. At 67 he is young for a Dwarf, but no less capable for it. He enjoys his drink, and his eventual life goal is to make enough money from Adventuring to open up his own tavern and spend his life in peace with the world. However, he will fight ferociously to defend the natural world wherever he can, taking particular exception to slavery, cruelty to animals and destruction of forests. He despises wastefulness and the casual nature with which many species treat nature, and generally believes that a well placed smack on the head is the best kind of education about that kind of thing. His weapon of choice is a Hardwood Warhammer (If you'll allow it - still need to iron the details for myself on that particular aspect).
