Experienced Player looking for a game and/or games in off hours... {Pathfinder, D&D3.5, Shadowrun, Warhammer40k, ect}

Greetings and thanks for inquiring about my post! I have been playing table top RPG's for the past 20+ years starting with Basic D&D and currently DM a Pathfinder at my house every other Monday night. I have played just about every system of RPG out there over the years. Met my wife at a D&D game and she works at a book store, so we have just about every RPG book out there. If we don't have the book, I am sure my wife has a PDF of it somewhere. You can say we are RPG nerds to the extreme! The problem I am having finding a group is that I am a bartender/waiter, so my off hours doesn't work for my friends or most games here. I am also looking for new people to play with that I can't already guess what they are going to do next. The friends I play with on Monday, we have been playing together for 15+ years. So we know how everyone will react to every situation that is thrown at us. Times I can play... it is probably easier just to post when I can't play. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday I work 4pm till 11pm CST. The same times that most games here are running! The Pathfinder game that I am DM is on Monday from 7pm till 11pm every other week. Next game we play is May 19th. The only other commitment I have is Sunday nights from 9pm till 11pm I raid with my WoW guild... yes I know, that evil, addicting game! But since most of my guild is winding down till the next expansion, this time might open up soon. But other than that, I can play whenever. I can even change my sleep schedule, what little I do sleep, to work for a game! For the game I would like to play, I am open to almost any system. All of the D&D and Pathfinder systems are the best known to me, but I know all of White Wolf/World of Darkness systems, Gurps systems, Palladium systems and the like. Wouldn't mind trying out a Warhammer 40k RPG. Played the tactical mini game of it and I have my own Tyranids army sitting up in display case at my house, waiting for my wife to paint them... along with all the other mini's we own *dodges something thrown at head by annoyed wife to shut up about it*. I used to know Shadowrun/Cyberpunk, but I haven't played them in years. Still would love to play, but sometimes my ex-Infantry nature tends to come out and tends to confuse or scare civilians... lol! So if you have any other questions for me, let me know! Unfortunatly I can only do english based games, but I have played with people from all over the world due to my off hours of being able to play.
Shameless bump in the hopes a DM accidentally missed it due to so many other posts...
Didn't think it would be this hard to find a game.

Hey Christopher, From what I've seen, there are a lot of players compared to DMs here, so finding a game can take a while. I would recommend just staying persistent, browse the LFG forums and LFG section often, and hopefully you should be able to find a good game. There are also some groups like '1Off Games' for short-notice games, one-shots or short modules: https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/359583/1o... And there are other groups like these drifting around the LFG section. Good luck!

I've played in two campagins, although I've had a couple of months off from Roll20. I would say it took me around 2-3 weeks before I even got in touch with people and got invited. Many times the games fizzles out as well. So lower the expectations and just keep searching. If you like to GM/DM, you'd find a game within hours though. Good luck!

Well I do have a campaign going doe DH, but I haven't decided if it is going to be Saturday or Sunday.
Hey welcome. There's a lot of vets around here. Yeah it typically takes a while to find a game since the DM to player ratio is at a guess about 12 to 1. many games from and die the night prior to launch. many go three sessions, and then die. So looks like you can do maybe early afternoons, CST. That will likely match up with a lot of UK groups. I'm EST, so I start running mine at 4 PM for people from UK, Northern Europe and Australia. Sadly we're all full, but openings sometimes come up. I prefer sci fi, like Traveller and Alternity. Your friday work times are the same as my James Bond game that runs Fridays. Drive on, and good luck finding a game. the best way of course is to run one yourself.

Well I have been looking around games for far longer before posting here. Seems games fill up in an hour or two of posting and I have seen the same with people posting looking for game, but it could just be me since I'm the one looking. Though it is nice to see so many newbies wanting to play and getting into games. I could DM a game, but I already DM one game right now and haven't used Roll20 before. Wanted to get my feet wet being a player first and get my creative juices flowing again by playing with new people.

Seems the Player/DM ratio is bigger than 12/1
