Hello there people of Roll20! I go by Res, I have been DMing for about 5 years now and enjoy making longer term campaigns focused on the players. I’m currently finishing up the general world building of this game that I am advertising for, and thus am inviting players to come apply to be players in this game.
About the game
This game is a longer term 0-20 level game that will be primarily focused on your characters and the world created around them. I have to collect the players before finishing any planning because I am practicing building the world around the players instead of vice versa and therefore need the players first! This will be a very high magic and fantasy game in an open world.
About The World
Skaiya is home to many untouched ruins with an unknown origin. Within these ruins are objects simply referred to as Artefacts. Artefacts contain unknown powers and all seem to hold their own capabilities and magicks. The exploration of these ruins and the retrieval of these artifacts are the main goal of the adventurers of Skaiya. (It’s basically the fabled "American dream" of this world) The Artefacts are oftentimes sold at high prices to wealthy buyers. Some of the first who retrieved an Artefact was the adventuring party that is now in charge of the nation of Tenby. --though their leadership abilities of a large nation are obviously lacking and the citizens can tell as taxes begin to rise and wars begin to be waged over apparently nothing and then dropped the next week--. Tensions of the world's nations are high as they slips in and out of hostility based on ownership of the artefacts. What’s worse, some races of Skaiya are having a hard time adapting to the newer, lax rule as slave trade run by the black market grows in power, making it progressively harder for their safety to be ensured.
That all being said, those who live in Skaiya may lack in proper technological knowledge but are very magically adept, most of them having at least a general grasp on how to cast cantrips for regular and personal use. Those who are normally learning magick’s at schools often only get to around the skill level of about 5th level unless they’re particularly and naturally adept. Those who get to the higher levels of magickal ability often become rich and powerful within the world, using magic to power the regular appliances and gadgets that most households end up holding.
For the magic of everyday life, I am using the UA "Magic Tattoos" loosely. (Basically cantrip tattoos for the average people.)

Oh yeah, Also, I love newer players as long as they think they could get into the roleplay of their character (That’s the main thing I care about, I don’t mind giving rule tips and reminders along the way). So don’t be discouraged from applying if you’re new!
