Weekly Tuesday 8pm Eastern. We use Skype for voice chat. (I dont award exp you level when I feel you have earned it) No Evil alignment. HP at 1st level: Con Score + Con Modifier. HP beyond 1st level: Don't roll if d6=4+Con Mod, if d8=6+Con Mod, if d10=7+Con Mod. 15 Point Buy (Pathfinder rules) <a href="http://webpages.charter.net/tedsarah/Pathfinder/ut" rel="nofollow">http://webpages.charter.net/tedsarah/Pathfinder/ut</a>... 3,000 gil starting (magic weapons available, wondrous items are only those available from the FF system, no more than 2,500 spent on a single item) No Gunblades. No Archetypes. No Necromancer, Gunner, or Dark Knight. Prestige classes on a per character basis, feel free to ask. We use a slightly different limit break system. I've a question, why no necro, gunner, or dark knight? Is that due to the classes themselves or some focus of the class that isn't allowed and would hamper their play because?

Necromancy will be illegal in the world. Gunner is basically PF Gunslinger which is uninteresting and OP. Dark Knights are evil exclusive, I don't allow evil PCs so I will make a small update to include that.

Okay. So, My first, and not necessarily final, idea (I've still got a lot of reading to do) is to play an alchemist which uses a gun. I presume this will be fine, yes (gunblades excluded)?

Yeah normal guns are fine, however you won't start with enough gil for one but it is something you could work towards.

Yeah, but I wouldn't let it stop you from the idea.

I won't. The main thing that will change my mind would be if I thought of something cooler (more dramatic or fun to play, most likely.) What ratio of drama to combat weight should we expect. I would hate to make a role-play intensive character only to have the idea wasted. It certinly wouldn't be the first time.

Well we are a pretty laid back group roleplay happens but don't expect it to be heavy. That said the more interested you are in roleplaying the more it will happen.

I'm really interested in playing, i'll take a look at the info you posted, the only game's i've played were 3.5 though, so i may need a little help with character creation and what not. my last irl campaign was a FF homebrew, and it was really fun. i'd be very interested in playing another FF campaign.

now i would love to play this... but currently depending on when you're going to start this, for the next two- three weeks i will be busy with school.... but if there is going to be a space open i would to play in this as i love FF, shame though there is no Gunblades. (FF8 is one of my faves)
