Hello and welcome to my LFG post! I am in search of playtesters for my custom and very much unofficial RPG system for the Elder Scrolls series. It is called The Unwritten Tales and is designed to be relatively light weight and in-line with the mechanics of the games. Game mechanics translated in as faithful a way as possible when one does try to turn a video game into a TTRPG system. Before you ask, yes, I am well aware of the other unofficial system but I felt it didn't do what I want it to do for my Elder Scrolls desires. Unwritten Tales Unwritten Tales is a dice pool system, the pools derived from the skills and attributes a character. All of the skills from the video games have been translated into the system and the fun spells and skills from Morrowind have also been given a spot in here. Unfortunately there had to be concessions lest it overburden the system (Melding of Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim skill systems into a cohesive compromise) The system itself, as stated previously, is light weight to emphasize the storytelling and just enjoying roleplay in the Elder Scrolls setting with a solid game-inspired framework. Combat is intentionally designed to not support slogfests, making encounters quick and deadly for the unprepared. I hope that angle inspires tactical thought and planning similar to Shadowrun. This is not to say that there is no possibility of becoming powerful as you can in Morrowind and other entries. Indeed, I'd argue you become even more powerful in this system. it is currently in a heavy beta state, facing little playtesting. Which I hope will change with this! (You can play a quadruped Khajiit...) Sessions and Applications I have no expectancy of how long the playtest would last (as long as possible would be preferable to run it as much as we can), so there is no end date. Sessions would last around 3-4 hours weekly with 3-4 players involved on Fridays, 6 PM GMT+2 . Program for Voice: Discord There is no format to the application but try and keep it from a one-line "I'm interested, invite me".More verbose and in-depth applicants will be prioritized.
