[LFP] [FREE] Welcome home, vislae...

Once, long ago... or perhaps not that long ago... there was a War. A Great War. A War to End All Wars, indeed... a War to End All Reality. The Enemy threw themselves at your people, armed with weapons of magic and hate. No one remembers who they were. Does it matter now? Does it ever? Perhaps you were a soldier in that War, forced by wounds to enact a tactical withdrawal. Perhaps you were a refugee, driven from your home and the lands of your birth by the tide of destruction. Or perhaps you were simply a coward, fleeing to save your skin at the first sign of smoke, because you knew that where there's smoke, there's fire, and this was a fire too great for you to bear. So you left. You left Reality, and found your way to the Shadow, the Grey... what we like to call good-old 21st-century Earth. Here, you nursed your injuries, cobbled together a new existence, and slowly... slowly... forgot who, and what, you once were. Until today. How long has it been? Years? Decades? Weeks? How long have you been away? The news has reached you: The War is over. Today, you go home. Back to Reality. Back to the Actuality, and to your true home, the city of Satyrine. Neighborhoods have been shattered, but brick and steel can be rebuilt. Friendships have broken, but can be remade, with time and care. Rivalries have lain dormant, but can be rekindled by careless tread or acid words. All that you were, you can be again, and more. Return, vislae, and take back your life. Return, and remake Reality in your image. I’ve been wanting to play Invisible Sun ever since I backed the Kickstarter a couple of years ago. At this point, I think that dream has died on the vine, but it just so happens that I’m a pretty decent GM, and there’s no reason not to experience this incredible (and incredibly weird) game from the other side of the table. So, I’m proposing to run a medium- to long-term game of Invisible Sun . I want to make this a solo game. One, maybe two players, tops. I want to try to focus a little more tightly on the life and times of a character making their way through the City of Notions, and I want this to be a heavily character-driven (as opposed to plot-driven) game, and I feel that the best way to get that is to shrink the group size. Too, I’ve never run a solo game, but with the things that this particular game has to offer, I feel it’s a good fit for the paradigm. A few words of warning: This is not a game for the faint of heart. Invisible Sun is a game about exploration, mystery, and secrets; it leans heavily on character interaction with some good old-fashioned puzzle-solving thrown in, and falls apart when a player tries to play it (or a GM tries to run it) like your standard game of D&D. When I tell you that I’m looking for experienced roleplayers, I really mean that I’m looking for experienced roleplayers; the systems in the game are designed around the idea of proactive players telling me what they’re doing, not me telling them what they have to do. I know you’ve read it in a million posts before this, but I really am looking for those who favor roleplaying and character interaction over dice and number-crunching. Right now, all of this is up in the air, but if I can find a player or two who’s up for it, I’m thinking that I’d like to try biweekly Friday evenings starting around May 8th. I have a bit of leeway on times/days, but I am still working through the Plague, so weekdays in the middle of the day are not available to me. Feel free to ask questions here; if you’re interested, send me a PM. No formal “application,” just tell me why you might want to play one of the most eccentric RPGs ever written by human beings, and if I think we’re a good fit, we can work out the details.
Bumping this for a bit more visibility; I've spoken to someone who might be interested,  but I'd like to keep this out there a bit longer, particularly if I can make it a two-player game.
