Old School Sundays

Looking to establish a regular gaming group that is focussed mainly (although not exclusively) on the classic tabletop RPGs of the 1980s - D&D, RQ, T&T, Traveller, CoC, WFRP, etc. (or their more recent editions). Ideally: Weekly. Sunday evenings 7.00 PM - 9.00 PM UK time. Rotating games and GMs to keep things fresh (everybody expected to contribute to GM duties). Any interest?
Hi Joe, Would definitely be interested in playing (and perhaps running) pretty much all of those (I am old enough to have played them all the first time round!). Particularly keen to get back into WFRP (the best setting ever IMO) . No love for Pendragon? Am originally from Yorkshire but am currently living in Sweden (the missus is Swedish) so GMT+1. Relatively new to Roll20 but with the virus am getting much more familiar with it! Cheers, Dominic
i have a dnd discord server
Hi Dominic, Thanks for the interest in the game. It sounds like we're on the same wavelength. I'm also a fellow Yorkshireman (grew up in Leeds). I played Pendragon a couple of times back in the day, but I'm much more at home amongst the Rat Catchers and Witch Hunters of the Old World than chivalrous knights in gleaming armour. If we can get at least a couple more on board we'll be good to go. I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Joe
Joe, I am a Wakefield man myself but lived in Leeds (a.k.a. home of the "Champions of Europe") growing up. Rat Catcher, I dreamt of being a Rat Catcher (my favourite character started as as a Grave Robber) :-) Fingers crossed for a couple more players (I do know someone here who might be interested who i can speak to if you want - he is a DnDer mainly but could be weaned off that perhaps) Dominic
A few additional words of explanation about the game  ... The idea is to get a group together to meet on a weekly basis and play a range of different games, with everyone sharing the GM duties. So, for example, we might start with D&D, then move on to Call of Cthulhu, followed by some Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, before returning to D&D, etc. Each game would be run by a different GM and might last anything from a couple of sessions to a couple of months. In other words, it's likely to be a combination of one-shots and episodic campaign play, rather than epic campaigns spanning months at a time. Whoever's turn it is to GM gets to choose what game they run. Looking for players who: * Can attend reliably most weeks. * Are happy to take their turn in the GM's chair. * Are happy to play a range of different games.
