[LFP] [GURPS] Sword & Sorcery Zero-to-Hero Game

Setting:   Starfall (Homebrew) Genre:   Sword & Sorcery. Dark Fantasy Style:   Westmarches or Felltower Edition:   4th Number of Players Needed:   As many as possible Frequency: Weekly or Biweekly, depending on what I can handle Time: TBD, depends on players, but will be during normal waking hours MST VTT: Roll20 (duh!) Voice: Discord, tentatively Hello everyone, I am a GURPS GM planning to run a zero-to-hero type sword and sorcery game.  The plan is to try to gather a large enough player pool of players with approved PCs to run a game every week with whomever can make it. Sessions will start and end in a safe place so the party composition can fluctuate without breaking suspension of disbelief. The game will be set in my homebrew called Starfall. This is a dark fantasy / sword and sorcery setting in which the world had once risen to a roughly high medieval period before demons rained from the sky and a serious of catastrophes rocked the world. The details a bit much for here, but basically most major cities were destroyed, knowledge was lost, and the world is roughly regressed to something akin to late antiquity/early medieval period similar to the time of the Merovingians. More specifically, this game will take place in a village called Alnwich, which was recently conquered by the kingdom of Usk. This has turned it into a boom town for furs and timber, but the nearby forest is dark and full of bandits, witches, and demons. This sets up a situation where the locals are making a lot of money from their conquerors while still resenting them, and everyone is trying to survive trips into the wilderness. There should be plenty of room for exploration and adventure.
If timing works out - I'd love to be a part of it.  Have been itching to play in an old school S&S game using GURPS.
I've been looking for a GURPS 4E game to play in for a while. I'd like to know some more about the setting, but definitely count me in.
I'm quite new to GURPS, the last time even looking at the rulebook was years ago out of curiosity, but if you'd have a new player to the system I can try and see if I can fit it into my schedule!
New players are definitely welcome!  And I think this game will be pretty newbie-friendly from a crunch standpoint, so don't let what you may have seen in the past or heard about the system make you think it'll be super complicated or anything.
