Established 5E Homebrew in need of a FIGHTER or PALADIN to join - we will roll you up as a 4th level character to join the team

Hi, we are about 2 months into a 'homebrew' 5E adventure (90% is by the book.. homebrew is changing some of the rules I don't like (wands automatically recharging, some of the wonky 'new' things the newer books are adding, stupid limitations on some classes, etc.&nbsp; Also open to non-standard species as characters - don't have to be human/elf/half-orc/dwarf, if you can convince me you can play it, we are good).&nbsp; &nbsp;Our players have just completed a game tonight, and our party (4-5 players normally) is in dire need of a fighter or Paladin to add some 'muscle' to the team (we had a bigger team, but due to attrition, we are down to 2 artificers, a construct wizard, a gloomstalker ranger, and a cleric.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; We play weekly, Sunday afternoon/evenings, starting at 4pm CST, usually running about 4-5 hours.&nbsp; We have a fun group, a new player would be welcome.&nbsp; We have a Discord Channel we use for voice, since the Roll20 voice app is quite wonky once more than 3 people are on it.&nbsp; Please respond here, or visit our games Home Page here: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/5748411/2020-dandd-5e-homebrew-game-b" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/campaigns/details/5748411/2020-dandd-5e-homebrew-game-b</a> .&nbsp; &nbsp;Again, my only requirement for a new player is the player MUST play a fighter or Paladin.&nbsp; No other classes are needed.&nbsp; I'm fine with the size of the team, but a fighter is really needed.&nbsp; A Barbarian would be ok, but fighter or Paladin are preferred.&nbsp; &nbsp;As stated, we would roll up a character together for 4th level, and as of the end of our last session, you would have a VERY handsome income (we are getting 200gp monthly on account of being on-call to assist Lavinia Vanderboren with her ongoing needs in reestablishing her families place in Sasserine, and after completing our last adventure saving her and her house, we all were rewarded with 100 Platinum Pieces each).&nbsp; So your character would start roll up as 4th level, you'd have a 200gp income monthly and a 100pp purse waiting to hit the local magic shops, armorers, etc.&nbsp; We can take care of that before the next session next Sunday (04/26/20)...&nbsp; we we'll continue the escape we started at the end of tonight's session - the team got together on a lark, chipped in together and bought a bag of beans..&nbsp; the first one the planted resulted in a hungry Bulette coming up through the ground.&nbsp; They killed it eventually, but it flattened our Kobold Artificer's Steel Companion before being dispatched.&nbsp; They have 3 more beans to plant, we had a lot of fun with that one, so curious to see what the next 3 lead to.&nbsp; Join up and join the fun.&nbsp; Looking forward to hearing from you, but we are only looking for 1 Fighter or Paladin, so once we confirm somebody, that will be the end of the invite.&nbsp; Thanks for checking up, and happy gaming James, aka DM James

Hi! I've been playing as a DM for about a year and a half and haven't really had the opportunity to play. I'm interested but I'd like to know what sort of game you're running in terms of like roleplay/combat. Is it 50/50 or does it lean more towards one or the other?&nbsp; I should also mention I'm in an Australian timezone.

Hi, Nina..&nbsp; We've already had a response, but I'll keep you in mind here if he decides not to join.&nbsp; As far as Roleplay/Combat, I've always been more about the roleplay, and the other players are too (which led to a catastrophic episode with a bag of beans at the end of tonights' session).&nbsp; &nbsp;Thank you for writing, and you are next in line if the first responder is out.&nbsp; In case he does, are you available for a 4-5 hour game that would have started about a little more than 6 hours ago from now?

Hi James. I should be. Your start time seems to be around 6:30 am on a Monday for me. Which isn't too hard for me to get up at since my normal days at uni tend to start around 9 and I get up early to catch the bus. I also don't have any classes on Mondays which is an added bonus. I'm glad to hear that your group is more about roleplay as that's what I tend to lean towards. If your first responder finds himself unable to play I'd be happy to take the spot.&nbsp;

Hello again Nina - if you are still interested, our Paladin that joined up layed a couple sessions, and found out today his work schedule got changed, so he does not have his Sundays free anymore.&nbsp; &nbsp;If you are still insterested, we'd love you have you join to add some muscle to the team as a fighter type. Just let me know and we can get things going so you can be ready for the next session sunday.&nbsp; If you can't, no worries, I'll just repost the ad and see who else pops in, but wanted to give you first shot. &nbsp;(ps.. visited Australia back in 1999, Brisbane to be exact.&nbsp; Loved it. Beautiful place, very friendly people... but for the life of me I can't see how you folks can eat Vegamite..)
