Volo's Mind Flayer entries

Apologies if this has been covered before, but has anyone noticed that the Roll20 version of Volo's contains a listing for a Mind Flayer Psion?  It's stats are the same as the Mind Flayer Arcanist with the exception of the spells it can cast.  I can find nothing on this Mind Flayer Psion anywhere on the interwebs.  Am curious if anyone has looked at this.  Again, apologies if this has been covered.

I do not own Volo's here on Roll20, but the physical book has a sidebar on p.71 titled Variant: Mind Flayer Psion and it tells you how to adjust the base Monster Manual Mind Flayer into a Mind Flayer Psion. Roll20 probably followed these directions. I think the content of this sidebar should be included here on Roll20 in the Compendium if you bought Volo's.

Mind Flayer Psion is indeed a droppable creature if you purchase the Volo's Guide Compendium expansion.

Keith, can you find the sidebar in the Compendium? It's in Chapter 1: Monster Lore near the start of the Mind Flayer section in the physical book.

Hi Keith, so the Psion is unique to the Roll20 Volo's add-on?

Volo's Guide to Monsters* contains the Psion variant in both the WotC print and Roll20 digital offerings. The only difference would be that Roll20 rolls the variant into a separate statblock rather than put it as an addendum to the base creature. This is to make it easier to use on the VTT. *technically a Compendium expansion, not an addon.

So I guess the sidebar does not appear. It actually adds a little bit of information/explanation about this creature and why it is showing up as it does. As the digital offering should include "everything in the printed book," the sidebar should be added, Shane B, so you can put in a bug report. It's probably a low priority, but it may prevent future questions about this creature.

The lore portion of the sidebar (VGtM, p.71) is in the Lore entry for Mind Flayers provided by Volo's Guide on Roll20. The conversion instructions are folded in to the monster entry, but are also included in the Bio Tab of the Mind Flayer Psion monster entry, under Traits. All the info is there, but in a manner that is mechanically useful. I.e. the monster is drag and drop, as you would expect it to be.

Ah! Thanks for confirming that, Keith. It is a logical place to put that information, but it does not stand out like the sidebar in the physical book, so I can understand how Shane B missed it.
