4e D&D Pick-Up-Group Game Today - Fallcrest Journey: The Rat Smasher's - New Players Welcome/Encouraged

Hey there, in an attempt to get more people playing 4e D&D, I'l be running Pick-Up-Group today using my "Fallcrest Journey" campaign.  Game should only last about three hours, And we will primarily be using text to convey both Role Playing, Battle and Decision making. Players who are new to D&D or 4e are in luck, as I have seven pre-made characters and character sheets already built inside the game, which includes all their level 1 abilities. In addition i provide a "Cheat Sheet" which includes all the things you can do in combat, such as Charging, Running, and Shifting. Game will start in two hour, 7;00 MST. If you're interested, post your interest. Or be back here in an hour when we start. And the game will be the "Vaults of Pelor," NOT the Rat Smashers.

If you want to bring your own character, make sure they are level 2, and have only 30gp to spend on items/equipment, and if you want to preform a ritual, you must have bought regrants (basically locking in cash as supplies). No saying "I have 50gp on me, so i cast this ritual with the gold!" Cause thats lame... Oh, and one more thing. Any items with a shieth (Such as a dagger or a sword) dont require a backpack to carry, but everything else, Such as candles, kits and torches, requires some kind of pack to carry it.

I'll just be using 1 of the 7 pre-made. Can you maybe give a brief description of the charecters to choose from?

Sure, there is: Anya, The Half-Elf Witch • Ark, the Relic Hunter • Astrid, the Dwarven Housewife • Collis, Eladrin Student of Magic • Erik, the Sell-Sword • Kharn, the Slave • Varis, the Outsider Every character is designed to be mundane, and fit within the universe.

Are psionic characters fair game?

I'd honestly prefer not, just cause i find them both weird and scary. But as long as its cannon, were good.

should I just use the standard array? or would you like me to roll? or should I do the point buy system. Just wondering if you prefered any as the DM.
