Players lose sight

So I have the player's character sheet set up. I have their token set up for the character so that when they pull it out of their journal, bam, token. I open up the token settings, have it represent that character, go to sight, allow it, go to advanced dynamic lighting( I don't know which are important) allow sight there. Players can see, all good. For whatever reason, if the players are on a map too long, that token becomes un-synched with the character, they lose sight, and I have to open up the settings to give it again, and reassign that token to the character. Am I doing something wrong here? I've also had to do this every time the players go to a new map or I bring out their token. Every time, it's a blank token that the player can control, but isn't linked to their character. Thanks for your time, and have a wonderful day!

When you make any changes to a Token, and you want that to be the new Default Token for a Character, you must edit the character, remove the existing Default Token, and add the new one.  That will preserve the light settings for next time you drag the token out.
