Updated Dynamic Lighting - A step backwards?

It is possible that I'm missing something, but the Updated Dynamic Lighting appears to be a retrograde step, taking away significant portions of customisation. One particular issue I have is that it does not handle Dark Vision from D&D (Night Vision is not a substitute) or viewing angles. So, for example, I have an elf carrying a torch, with a viewing arc of 220°. Under old DL, I could approximate this. Under UDL, I do not seem to be able to do this. Instead, I have the following: Token Vision: I can give them vision or not. I cannot set a viewing Arc. Night Vision: I can set Night Vision distance, but I cannot give Dark Vision (namely, Dim Light = Bright Light (up to 60ft) and No Light = Dim Light). At present, I cannot see the advantages? If I'm missing something, please do correct me.

You should add your comments and problem reports to the main thread for the new dynamic lighting system: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8422745/a-new-light-bug-thread-updated-dynamic-lighting-and-fog-of-war And read the second post in that thread for known issues.
Ah, I see. So the Updated Lighting is still really in development. Thanks for the heads up.
