Hey there prospective party. Are you tired of lugging your own bags, digging your own holes, and risking your own limbs looking for traps? Do your current party members have too much dignity to act as bait for monsters? Have you always wanted a familiar but lack the magical prowess to summon one? All these problems and more can be solved by getting a Kobold! I love the idea of playing a Kobold who sees a party of adventurers do something impressive and decides that his best hope for survival isn't traps and tunnels, it's hanging out with those guys and trying to be like them. I mean, what's Tiamat done for him lately? He'd get stuff done with a little Kobold flair but he'd do as his told. He really believes that learning to be good will make him safer. As a DM, the last thing I'd want at my table is someone doing a furry cosplay of a dragonboy who thinks he's being adorable when he messes with everyone's plans. I'll speak in full sentences that never contain the word "shinies" and never refer to myself in the 3rd person. I might steal a fork or two to sharpen and put in my traps but that's no worse than your average rogue. Hit me up if you think your players would like a pathetic yet enthusiastic background character to kick around.
