Having problems placing tokens where I want

Hello Everyone,  I am sure there is a simple fix to this but for some reason I can't figure it out and could not see anyone else reference it in the forum.   Sometimes when I place a token on my map, say a fireplace and I want it against a north wall, but it always moves to the center of the square  I placed it in causing a gap between the fireplace and the wall. I have the same issues with doors. They always want to be in the center of the Square rather than on the edge.  Any assistance or advice is greatly appreciated.  Thank you, John
Have you tried right clicking on token, going to advanced, and clicking on "Is Drawing"? That should allow you to place the token anywhere on the map.

You can also hold down the Alt key while dragging. That will suspend the snap to function.
Thanks, Keith.  I didn’t know that. Does the “Is Drawing” setting have any function other than not snapping?
For one thing, “is drawing” doesn’t pop up the token bubbles when you click on it.
