My group played through half of a dungeon in the previous session using the legacy dynamic lighting mode, with no fog of war. They will now have to backtrack from a dead end. However, because I wasn't using legacy advanced fog of war, they are a bit lost, not seeing where they have already been previously. So I thought that between sessions I would switch to updated dynamic lighting mode and try out explorer mode. I tried to walk my players' tokens through the already explored part of the dungeon by giving myself control over their token, and then switching to "rejoin as player" and running the token through the dungeon. Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be working. When I rejoin the game as GM and check with CTRL-L what their token can see, it can either see the whole dungeon if I am still on the list of people able to control and edit the character, or they can't see anything of what I explored for them, if I turn of my control & edit of their character. Is the "memory" of what was explored in explorer mode only saved for the player that is currently controlling the token? How can I show them what they already explored without turning dynamic lighting off?
