Hey guys. With summer finally upon me, I suddenly have found myself with a lot more free time than I use to have. Additionally, most of the campaigns I was a player in have been cancelled, leaving me DMing more than I play. I don't mind DMing, but what fuels my interest in it is the adventures I have in other campaigns. Without those, I tend to lose interest, something I would rather avoid. Thus, I am looking for a campaign with a stable group of people who are fun to play with and actually understand what it means to RP a character. One where the DM takes the time to have an engaging story happening and where there is actually interaction with the NPCs of the world rather than just combat, combat, combat. I will say that I don't care for overly zealous DMs who force the players to follow the story on rails however. For a bit about myself, I am a 22 year old law student who has just finished his first year of law school. I enjoy playing a variety of roles and characters, but I often play less orthodox choices for that particular job. I am generally a nice guy and I consider myself reliable, rarely missing a session. My time-zone is GMT-6 and I can play most days of the week, so it will probably be very easy for us to work out a time. I decided to throw up a thread here since I have always seemed to have better luck than when I join LFG listings, so if you are a DM reading this and think I would be a good fit, please post or send me a PM and I will try to answer as soon as possible. Thanks! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are just a couple characters I am considering. Of course their stories would be reworked to best fit your world. Ranger (Axani) -> A quiet/mysterious man, shrouded under heavy robes. The stars foretold of his death by a user of magic when he foolishly ignored the wisdom of his mentor, and he now roams the countryside as a vigilantly, protecting the innocent from those who would abuse its great power. Taking the Mystic Ranger variant, along with Sword of the Arcane feat, this character will multiclass into Wizard and be able to cast both 6th level Ranger and Wizard spells. Factotum (Human) -> A young, noble scholar, out traveling the world to learn about the secrets it has to offer. With a passion for archaeology and a seemingly endless source of knowledge, he is capable of doing a bit of everything to a competent degree and always has the right tools for the job. This is your typical factotum into chameleon build. Psion (Elan) -> An immortal traveler who makes his living by smuggling magic items. Despite his often easygoing attitude, those who cross him quickly regret their decision as they expose the extent of his power. This is a Psion Nomad build, taking the alternate class feature for Personal Space, which allows him to literally pull entire swords out of his sleeve. The perfect tool for a worldclass smuggler. Bard (Silverbrow Human) -> A silver haired bard, born in a savage barbarian tribe and later rescued by a kind old wizard who taught him etiquette and the basics of magic. A competent fighter with his longsword and his dance and stories causing the blades of his allies to cackle with fire, he is a dangerous opponent. This is a dragonfire inspiration bard build to give my allies firedamage on hit. I also plan to dip into ur-priest and sublime chord to get 9th level divine and arcane magics. There are many more concepts in my head, and I will happily fill any role you would like me to. Just let me know! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One last note. I do have one caveat. I simply hate rolling for stats. I will only play if you will allow me to take an appropriate point buy instead. Edit: Also, I wouldn't be opposed to giving pathfinder a shot. Summoner has looked pretty interesting to me.
