We are playing a custom story campaign but no houserules starting at level 1.
It's been a 1000 years since the fall of Pymoar. The peaceful time is known as the Golden Age. A festival is being held in the city of Acknor which is built on the battle site where the Heroes of Hope have fought and fallen. You find yourself in taking part in the festivities that are going on.
Ive got a revenant (halfling) wild soul sorcerer | bard hybrid i have been meaning to try out. He has the Xaositect Theme, and i tryed to make most of his powers have as random effect as possible. Hell end up with lots of powers that force/grant rerolls, attacks that do different things depending on odd/even attack, and varying attack elements/effects. For his background im thinking that back when he was a halfling, he served as the captain of a small unit of archers in the war, and died giving his life so they could make a retreat to safety. What he considered a fitting and honorable death. Then, after many years in the afterlife, he suddenly woke up, in a body that was not his own. Neither risen by the ravenqueen, nor necromancer, he had one truth in his head. It was then he realised that the universe was a confused and random place, and that he had to embrace the chaos
Heyo, looking to maybe play in this game of yours you got here. I have a pretty unique character concept working forward: Jack is a Vistani fencer and showman. Until recently, he was a happy Vistani fencer and showman. He traveled the world practicing his swordplay, which was wholly unremarkable swordplay, if he's honest. He studied magic under the ritual master of his clan, which was wholly unremarkable magic, if he's honest. He traveled the world, researching and recording all the knowledge he could find for his book, which was a wholly remarkable book, if he's honest. Then, not more than two weeks after his 18th birthday, on the day he's to set out for his Jaunt, two very strange things happened to Jack. The first is the disappearance of the ritual master, who simply vanished; her squat rolling house was locked from the inside with the Arcane Lock ritual, except there was no ritualist inside. Secondly, there was a ghost in his head. A ghost that promised power, magic, and secrets. A ghost that said it would help Jack find the missing ritualist. A ghost that promised that all it wanted in return was a chance to redeem itself. A ghost of a powerful and unspeakably evil Vistani exile from ages long past, imprisoned and tormented by the foul, dreadful curses that only dying Vistani dare utter. A fact Jack would have liked very much to have known before he made the pact he made. Jack's Goals: Find the missing ritualist Explore, travel, and "research" new information for his Vagabond's Guide to the Multiverse. Return from his Jaunt with powerful rituals and magical items to help his clan. If that sounds like a fit for your game lemme know.
