Mobile and the ruler

Hi, in anticipation for tonight's possible incoming storm, I decided to try Roll20 out on the iPad on my lunch hour for some potential 3G action later this evening. Luckily, my campaign journal is reasonably done, I've got my macros and token actions all fired up, panning and zooming are ok, so I'll do just fine, but... The ruler has it's result under my finger. I've been jesting for years now, that for the touch devices to really break through, we'll need see-through fingers :P I don't really have a fully thought out suggestion for an alternative behaviour. It is well-grounded that the result is on the end point of the ruler , ie. the point where your focus is . Maybe add a delayed fade out for the result? Maybe add an option for "sticky rulers" (each player's last ruler stays on the screen)? What do you think?
pretty much everyone on the forums agrees that the ruler needs work for some reason or another....
