Importing NPC stats from pdf

Hello! I recently start using Roll20 for my savage Rift game and the more I use it, the more I love it. At the same time, it's time consuming and tedious to writes every stats for each NPC you want to create. I know Savage world will have some official support on Roll20 but for now, do we have a script to help us importing stats on Roll20? Or any trick that can make things faster? Thanks

The short, sad answer is no. You'd never be able to import from pdf even if an import function existed, because pdf is not friendly to copy / paste functions. Characters get scrambled, layout gets reordered, and for an import function to work, the data has to be perfectly predictable.

Well, it would be awesome if they could implement such feature in the next updates. There are a lot of times when I face some problems with PDF files and e-book readers. But I think it all depends on certain and specific PDF files. Cause there is no problems, for example, with files which I download from pdf books free online library. I always open and view them with no issues.

That feature is going to have to be done by the community, like the way it is done on one of the Pathfinder sheets. There's an active disincentive for roll20 to do it. They have always maintained strong control over how people share stuff between campaigns owned by different people, for pretty good copyright reasons. I dont agree with them, but I understand them. An import / export feature would break that control, and if developed by roll20 themselves, would weaken their position when they go to potential partners and say, "We are protecting your content, you can partner with us and not worry about piracy."
