How do I add a 5E monster manual critter to a pre-bought module?

Running Final Enemy and I'm trying to add some lizard men as NPCs under the characters control.  I want to use monster manual stats. How do I do this?  Tried googling, no luck, thanks!

Assuming you own the Monster Manual, the same way you would add them anywhere else: drag and drop them from the Compendium. If you want to give control of them to players, open the character sheet, press the Edit button and set both permissions slots to "All Players" or to specific players if that works better. If you don't own the monster manual, you can still do this, they just won't have lore or custom art. You can assign any custom art you might have uploaded and make a new default token.

I think I may be trying to figure out the same thing.  However, Keith you lost me at open the character sheet.  I believe that's what we are trying to get to.  So far the only way I have found for any monster is to go through the process of creating a character sheet for each monster.  So if it's an unplanned MOB the game play goes something like this: DM:  (Rolls random encounter). Suddenly a pack of 5 angry wolves surround you.  Everyone roll initiative Players:  18... 4... 10... 16 DM:  OK... hold on a sec guys I have to create character sheets for all these monsters... one moment... Actually everyone go ahead and take a break while I'm working on this. keithcurtis said: Assuming you own the Monster Manual, the same way you would add them anywhere else: drag and drop them from the Compendium. Why can't you use the compendium? Those monsters are 5E ready just drag and drop.
Thank you Keith - the edit and save was the step I didn't get. Playing around with it more I have been able to successfully drag monsters into the current "adventure" in the menu bar as well.  As a newbie roll20 DM I'm really enjoying being able to pop recurring NPCs and critters in like this, great fun. thanks again!
