I've scouted out the forums and I see that Dynamic Lighting, legacy and updated, are generating a lot of issues. I'm just starting to use Roll20 and figured a pro sub is something I can afford, I would like to support development, and the idea of dynamic lighting (updated) should be rather good in theory. In general I've found it a steep learning curve and that using Chrome (on my Mac) yields best and most consistent results. What I cannot find on these fora is this specific issue, best explained by my screenshot. Here are 3 characters all with darkvision (D&D5e). I have checked and checked and I believe all the tokens have the same attributes set. I'm using Updated DL only, no light sources, they all "have sight" (does that matter given the rest of the context described), they can all be controlled by me. The map is set to use updated dynamic lighting. Explorer mode is off. [Supplementary issue: When I turn it on things can randomly get weird e.g. the cleric can see through walls for 60' and neither of the elves can see ... hard to reproduce] Figuratively speaking, why is only the Wizard "in the dark"? TL;DR My friends and I used to play together at school. Now in our 50's we are meeting regularly on-line because of the pandemic and thought it would be a great opportunity to try the new tech (and new rules!). You know, time on our hands... . As designated DM I've put quite a lot of time into it and am on the verge of launching the game. I really don't want Dynamic Lighting to blow the whole session.
