External Source Roll20 Macros

I'm brand new to DM'ing and I am looking for ways to start creating/using improved version of mundane characters. I found one website that seems to provide some stat block sheets, but it has this line at the top of every page: "Simply click on a trait or attack to copy a Roll20 macro to your clipboard" When I click on the attack/description/etc it gives me code like this: &{template:default} {{name=**Kobold Dragonshield**: *Sunlight Sensitivity*}} {{Desc.=While in sunlight, the kobold has disadvantage on attack rolls, as well as on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight.}} I understand that this is all macro coding for Roll20, but can anything be done with it to try and get it into an NPC sheet, or is it code that is purely used for creating macros of the creature's special actions/attributes? Any input would be helpful, thanks.

That's the sort of macro that should be posted into an Ability. These are macros that live on the character sheet and can be found on the Attributes and Abilities tab (Up by "Bio & Info" and "Character Sheet"). If you click on "show as Token Action" after saving the ability, it will appear as a button at the top of the screen whenever a token representing that character is selected.

Also, it did not occur to me to mention this, but please make sure that that website is not supplying pirated information.

So you mean that all of the macro's supplied can't be used to create a character sheet, only be used to tie to a token for macro buttons for things the token can do, right? I don't think any of the information is pirated....I've not seen anything on the site that I haven't been able to find on other sites. This one just gave me a gleam of hope that I did not have to fully build the NPC sheet from scratch and that maybe I could use the macros to auto-populate certain fields, however that does not look to be the case.

The Kobold Dragonshield is from Volo's Guide to Monsters. Unless you were able to access that information through the direct, associated purchase of that book (only available electronically from Roll20, DnDBeyond and FG, as far as I know), then yes, it was likely pirated information. If you have seen a 5e statblock for a Kobold Dragonshield any place other than those, then those sites were likely illegal, too.
