Token Movements Not Loading For Players

Our DM has been moving tokens around his map but apparently it does not update for us players since we do not see the tokens moving. What could be the problem?
I've been having that exact same issue. Is it because he edits the tokens settings for the tokens in question?
Bump
There are several possibilities. Are these npc's or pc's? Is the gm listed on their sheet as having permission to edit and view? Are the tokens on a layer other than the token layer? Is it possible that they are being moved out of the range of sight of your tokens? You said you aren't seeing them moving. Do you see them at all?

They are on the token layer. They do not use dynamic lighting so we always see the tokens. We are able to see the tokens they put down.
Hello hello, Wisna's DM here. The only thing I do to edit the token is to link it to a sheet. Other than that I make them NPCs.
Yes, but to link them to a sheet, you have to open the token settings and make the change there, correct?
My group has been having this issue for a few weeks now and it's usually fixed when the GM reloads the room and moves the tokens again, but it's still an obnoxious issue. (As I'm typing this, the issue has happened again)
The tokens are linked to a sheet. The DM can place down Tokens, but when the tokens are moved or updated it does not register on the player side. Also bumping because this is damn annoying.
Interestingly you can see the DM PAINT, but can't see the tokens move.
Where did the tokens come from? From your art library? From the monster manual or a module? I think I have seen other people complaining about token issues when the tokens come from their library. I can say I've never had this problem, but I have never used a token from my library, they either were attached to the creature to begin with or I make them and upload to the VTT and then attach them to the sheet. To be clear, when you double click the token does it say represents whatever npc it is supposed to? And, has it been saved as the default token by opening the edit function on the sheet and saving it as the default token, not the portrait for the npc? Do your PC tokens have sight enabled, are they set as representing the corresponding character and have they been saved to the corresponding character sheet as the default token? Other than these things, I have no idea what could be causing your issues, in which case, hopefully someone will officially answer the post.
Patrick, I've done some testing on the tokens, which you can find here: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/8607730/major-token-permissions-issue To answer your question, this happens to any token - whether it is linked to a character sheet (and set as that character sheet's default token), or if it is just a token I dragged directly out of my art library. The issue occurs whenever a change is made to the token (i.e. giving it an aura, changing its name, making its name and Aura visible to players, etc).
having same issue in 3 games of mine
Seems like whatever update the R20 staff did to the tokens messed them up.

Are GM and all players using either Firefox or Chrome as their browser? Have you tested with all extensions turned off?
I am using Chrome.

This sounds like a case where the guide to Solving Technical Issues is needed. Particularly STEP 4 . A dev will need to see the logs to gain insight into what is going on. Step 1: Make sure to use the right browser Please check if these issues persist when using both Chrome and Firefox. Step 2: Ensure that there are no extensions/addons interfering with Roll20 Please disable all add-ons/extensions. Step 3: Clear your cache If none of the above succeeds, please thoroughly work through Step 4 . (Don't forget the complete Console Log!)
