my family would like to try out the sunless citadel while it's free, but everytime i clicked on using the free addon it doesn't populate and is not added on the game creation page. Any help?

It is an addon, not a module. Create your game first (be sure to choose a character sheet--I recommend the D&D 5th Edition by Roll20 sheet). Then click the addon triangle on your campaign home page and choose the addon from there.
