I’m running “The Emperor Protects” campaign by FFG for the
Deathwatch rpg. This game is a conversion to the 2d20 system and is still in an
alpha state. So if you are not interested in helping test out a new system then
this game is not for you.
This campaign will be run every other Thursday at 9pm EST.
Each game will last 4 to 5 hours. Session 0 will be on the 7 th .
Session 0 will mostly be character creation as a group.
What is 40k?
Warhammer 40,000 is set in the distant future, where a
stagnant human civilization is beset by hostile aliens and malevolent
supernatural creatures. The models in the game are a mixture of humans, aliens,
and supernatural monsters, wielding futuristic weaponry and magical powers.
What is Deathwatch?
The Deathwatch is a unified
force made up of Space Marines from many Chapters who work together at the
behest of the Inquisition. When they find proof that a world has become tainted
by Alien influences, or signs of significant Chaos, it's the Deathwatch
that is called to purge these foes.
I’ve run every 40k rpg from FFG and every
campaign went for over a year in real life. I love the games but one thing I
never enjoyed was the dice mechanics (for reasons I’ll be happy to discuss at
another time). I have put a considerable amount of time converting the game to the
2D20 system (star trek, mutant chronicles, Conan) created by Modiphius games. As
I stated earlier, this conversion is in an early state but its coming along
well and has already gone through playtesting/revisions.
About the GM 25 Years of experience running games (I've gotten fairly good) I tend towards low-combat heavy-roleplay games (But this is 40k after all) I love new players so don't worry if you're not sure what you're doing I tend to run games with a more serious tone. I've noticed this often appeals to older players. If you can name a game system, there's a pretty good chance I've run it
If you love 40K or always wanted to learn
more about it please use the GAME LINK to post on the game’s listing.
