As the title suggests I'm looking for people for a game on Thursday. Starting between 5-7 PM PST that will last between 2-5 hours weekly depending on what the group would like to do. I plan on running a module that I haven't run before, which there are a lot of them in D&D 5e, manly run Pathfinder ones. Now I'm sure you have a few questions and feel free to ask but below I'll answer a few which I think you might have: Q: What Module are you planning to run? A: I'll look at what the players would like to play, chose between 3 different ones and I'll pick the one with the most votes. I could create a homebrew world based on what the group would like to see in the world, like if it's a modern world, in space, at sea, ext, but we can talk about that later. Q: How many players are you looking for? A: No more than 5 players to keep the group from getting to big. Q: What kind of players are you looking for? A: People that are team players, those that are willing to share the spotlight of the game. Those that don't change their character every other week. At least be 18+. If you have hate toward people of: different view points, genders, race, LGBTQ+, another country/place, (I reserve the right to add something later as I can't think of everything right now), and can't keep it away from the table please don't apply. Q: Why are asking for money, couldn't you run the game for free? A: Yes I could run the game for free but I already run 5 games for free and the only way I'm letting my self run another one would be to make it a play to pay game. I have run paid games before but then they did become free games after getting all the assets I needed for the games. Q: Will this one become free after a while? A: Maybe but for now I'll say no as the last couple of times I've done this the players have started to not show up for the games and left their team in mid mission at times and then a few days later said they could not make it or never do. Manly I'm doing this to make sure that the people in the game want to play and will keep playing. Q: Well how much experience do you have running games? A: I have run games for the last five years and played D&D on and off again since 6 years ago but currently for the last couple of years just been running games. Q: Just five years of experience, I've seen people with 30+ years of experience run paid games so is your game even worth it? A: Honestly speaking, I'm not sure. I always try to give the best game possible and from what I can tell most (not going to say all) of my players seem to enjoy the games I run and I would like to believe you and others would too. Q: Well I can just find a free game and enjoy myself there so what would be drawing me to your game? A: Go for it, some of the free games out there are a blast and even better, if you find a great gm, than the paid ones, If you find a great one out there and are looking for players I say go for it. The only thing I can offer is a game, some laughs and awkwardness but you can probably find that else where too. Q: Well how much are you charging, can you make it cheaper since you probably haven't run the module before? A: The first game is free but I'm thinking say $10 USD per session or pay up front for 35 a month for less. Sure I can make it less, if you feel that the game isn't run as smooth as you would like it we can bring it down to $8 USD per session or 30 a month (yes I know the discount is less than the other one but so is the price). Depending on the time frame of the game it can also go lower. Q: Well I can't afford that, can't you make it cheaper? A: If you really want to play but can't really afford to pay that price, send me a private message and we'll see what we can do, I'll keep the conversation private so don't worry about that. If you can't afford to pay that price right now but maybe in the future, send me a message as well and we'll see what we can do. Q: Okay so if I join your game how do I build my character? I found this homebrew class that's half Assassin and Ranger, also found this race that's half ghost with merfolk abilities so they can go through the water without a problem. I also have this concept for this gun they can use but only they can use it and anyone else that tries takes 5d6 force damage for even touching it. A: Anything that has been published from Wizards of the Coast is fine but any UA or homebrew would have to go through me first  and would need the okay before entering the world. For stat blocks it would be 4d6 drop the lowest, you can do this twice and pick from one or the  other, if this doesn't give you the stats you need for your class you can than do standard point buy. If you want to re-flavor things but keep the effects of spells the same, Example magic missile shooting out flowers instead of pyramids, that's fine. Any other questions for character creation just let me know Q: Okay so anything else I need to know? A: The game will be consistent but we can change the amount of times we meet like bi-weekly, weekly, monthly. I have a bit of a short term memory problem so will likely ask if I can record the game to review it later. This isn't a deal breaker it just means I have to write more notes than I would like. I use discord for voice, Roll20 for maps and effects. No Video. I don't run games if just 2 players show, it's a rule I have. There is probably more I just can't think of anything right at this moment. Q: Well I'll think about it. Is there a time limit to this? A: This is just to see if there is interest so no time limit but if I find 3 players we could start as soon as next week. If you managed to read this all, first of all thank you, second feel free to drop a message if you are interested or have further questions. I'm just going to drop this here because I need to: This game encourages paying the Game Master at a rate of $8-10 USD weekly via Paypal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
