Best script, macro, or other way to handle distribution of magic items?

This is something I haven't thought about until recently, because I haven't really been assigning that much treasure. But I'd like to know how you automate (if at all) the process of distributing items to your party. I already use PurseStrings to handle cash distribution, and that works very well.

I use handouts for wondrous items, and cards for potions.
I'm using handouts for magic items, too. I don't bother with handouts for potions unless they're not healing related. My issue is more about inventory. It'd be great to have a snippet or macro to automate transferring the item to a character's sheet. I'm just curious how people handle this, or whether they just manually drag everything to the sheet.

That's why I suggested cards. You can deal out four potions of healing and a potion of flight, and characters grab the cards they loot. When it comes time to use them, they have to play the card.

If it's a standard magic item, usually weapons or armor, I will often just drag it to their sheet, or more often, invite them to do so.

I agree. I never explored cards, but this application intrigues me. Could you give us a description, on how you implemented this? Is is just for organizing the inventory, or can playing out a card actually trigger the healing by itself, too?

I just use it for inventory tracking. Here is an entry from the Stupid Tricks thread from someone who's solution is a bit more elaborate. Deck of Cards to Track Player Resources Also, if you do decide to use cards, I wrote a script which can facilitate their use: Dealer Dealer is also available in the 1-Click, but the method of pulling updates mystifies me, so the one I linked has a few more features.
