Macro Problem with token action bar

Hi i was running a game last night and ran into an issue.  I have a character sheet for every token on the map, small skirmish 15 tokens a side.  I dis all the macros all pretty simple.  The tokens are controlled by all players as are all the character sheets.  When i added abilities to each character I did Macros as #shoot-save for example. Works perfect. I play-tested a game and it worked perfect.    I am using the default box format for presentation.  However when another player joined fro the game last night when he clicked on the token macros the macro did not show up in chat or work it simply said #musket or whatever macro was used.     I made him a GM no fix there.  We went back and added text for each ability on each token he was using.  We tried making the tokens only controlled by him.  None of this worked.  The only thing that seemed to work was him hitting the roller on the macros on the abilities section of the character sheet.  What am I doing wrong? How can any token controlled by all players use token action macros?
This is an example of Macro I am using:  &{template:default} 1{{name=Shoot Save}}{{@{selected|token_name} rolls a  save of[[1d6+?{ +1Wearing armor except against grenadoes or roundshot |0}+?{+1 Has shield against bows and spears only |0}+?{+2 Behind hard cover |0} +?{+1 in Soft Cover |0}+?{+1 Has Elite Morale |0} >6]]}}

Check the referenced macros, and make sure you have explicitly given permissions for each, most likely to "All Players"
How do I give macro permissions?  Is that differnt from character sheets and tokens being controlled by all players?

Since you referenced "#shoot-save" as a called macro, my assumption was that you are using abilities or macros to call macros that are resident on the Collections tab. If this is the case, when you are in the edit window for the macro, there is a permissions field. You may need to scroll down to see it because of a less-than-ideal interface.

To save on bloat in the collections tab, I'd generally do what you're doing only for universal macros, then share them with other players as Keith has instructed above. If it's a specific character ability, you can put the macro into the Abilities tab on the character sheet and assign it as a token action so it will only pop up for that character. This will keep both the macro bars and the Collections tab a little tidier (depending on how many macros you're talking about, of course). You also don't need to set permissions for Abilities macros, anyone with permission for that Character can use the macros on the sheet. Still waiting patiently for coloured token action buttons........

You can also look into using a  Macro Character Sheet . As for colored token action buttons, there is a style here, but it's a bit limited. I'd love to find a way, even only with Stylus, to color them by content. Change Button Colors on Token Action Toolbar
Hi Keith and Andrew, Thanks so much for you help and replies.  I was able to scroll down and see the permissions. I have it set so that all tokens are controlled by all players.  This is a pretty simple miniatures game so there aren't any attributes just abilities.  Every token has Melee and shoot saves, Hand to Hand, the only difference is the shoot roll which varies by weapon and the Decision check, a kind of morale which is good, bad or normal.   Since the Macros always work for me how can i check if they work for other players? without actually having another play logged in?  Will rejoin as player work? Or will i still have the macros work for me regardless?   Once again thanks for all your help.  Also if you ever want a quick game of pirates in action give me a shout.

Easiest way to check this sort of stuff is to use a  Dummy Account .
