Hello there, my name is Kris (32 male), I run often, 4-5 games a week usually, but would like to be able to play more, so Ive been building a world where dms can work together and be able to rotate in and out of the game without feeling a huge variance in setting. Basically players/dms will be a part of an exploring campaign, venturing to a new continent thats never been charted, full of of ancient secrets, hidden dungeons, and unfamiliar cultures. I want to set it up kind of like kingmaker, where players will be on missions to set up camp by collecting resources and such, before the move on to scouting further inland. This will give room for lots of roleplaying and character development, as well has giving players/dms a feeling of accomplishment before they even get to push ahead into the more "questy" section of the game. I do want to come out and say that I use voice for my games (discord), so would expect the other dms to do so as well, also, I hope to find people who speak fluent English as I am very bad at foreign languages. Im very loose with my standards when it comes to other dms styles because I feel like forcing everyone to play like me is boring, but I would like 2 things from the other dms besides the use of voice. 1. The use of maps. You dont have to have a map for every instance, but please be willing to provide visuals for the important bits. If youre good at describing scenery, most of the time theater of mind will be good enough, but maps help provide visual aid for lots of players, including myself, so please be prepared to provide them for your game. (can find tons for free for you if needed) 2. Wanting to be in a cohesive group. Everyone of us is unique, I will never try to disparage that, but this game is going to need people working together more so than a normal game as the rotating dms and regular players will need to be patient, everyone updating each other on their work, and people remaining flexible when it comes to rulings as players/dms are going to be at different levels of experience or RAW mentality. Obviously youre going to need a good grasp of Pathfinder 1e to play/run in this game, but that doesnt mean I expect everything to remain RAW, I just want people to be knowledgeable enough to play their classes and run a game in a way everyone can enjoy. At the end of the day, besides myself, I would like to find at least 3 other DM's who are looking to rotate, and then after that 3 or so people who can just remain regular players. The reason Im doing this is because I want the game to be a pickup style which means that its played whenever a dm has gotten the itch, there will be no real set times, but notifications to the effect of "@everyone I want to run something today, let me know if anyone is interested", in the discord will be given. I feel like this will help deter the dm brain fog people get as they can rotate in and out, but also not feel pressured to run as some dm's may want to run more than others, especially if they get a really cool idea in their head. If so far this interests you, read the intro I have written below, let me know what you think either with a reply, or private message, and hopefully I can garner enough attention to get this world started. Thank you all for taking the time to read/reply. -Kris Welcome to Infortuna, the world unexplored, but definitely not uninhabited. You, my friendly adventure, have taken a long voyage over thousands of miles of sea to visit a land known only through myth and folklore. An incredibly wise, and extremely wealthy lady by the name of Vespa Cringwald is funding your party's campaign, but it let it be known that the resources coming from the mainland can take weeks or possibly months to arrive, so heroes and explorers alike better come prepared to put in their fair share. "Land ho!" Your ship, known as the Great Alabaster, has just sighted land for the first time in over three months, everyone on the ship comes up on to the deck and begins to rejoice, singing songs and such even though the sun hasnt even begun to fully rise over the horizon yet. Suddenly, like scissors sliding through paper, Captain Beirholt lets out one of his ferocious whistles cutting through all the ruckus, all the men and women on board stop instantly in their tracks and give him their full attention. "Listen here you tan hide sissies, the land may be there, but it sure shit aint going to roll over and just give itself to us. We gotta earn it!" Beirholt's words are stern, but there's a small bit of jest hidden behind the gruff. A dainty hand will encroach on the captains shoulder and an elegantly dressed woman will step forward, interrupting his speech. "First order of business is finding an area suitable for camp, then clear cutting any near by trees, and setting up defenses, followed by the tents and such. We're going to be working through the night, keeping guard with only our torches and the moon for light, this is going to be one of the longest days of your lives people. Gather up, two lines on the port and starboard. We'll be calling names, your orders will be given from the one who speaks it, hop in your designated dingy, row to shore and get to work. Set off your Star-Spark flares when you've completed your mission and then meet back up with the others at camp location Albatross." Her words have obviously been rehearsed and practiced numerous times, she looks among the crew with a smile as you all begin to fall into place. She turns and begins to walk beside everyone as the captain and her start calling out people's names to form the parties, the people on board begin to join together as the adventure starts here.
