It has been 4 months since the fall of Emperor Toturi XXXIX. With no obvious heir available to the Emerald Throne, the land of Rokugan has fallen into civil unrest without a leader. Many clan leaders seek the throne to take rule, but only one will ascend. Perhaps you have come to this eastward land in search of Power? Wealth? A need to see an entirely new world? I am your residential nerdy ass DM, Sheepy! I've been Dming for roughly 15ish years give or take and have a huge love for tabletop games in general, but specifically D&amp;D and Pathfinder and a huge love for the L5R's plot. I am starting up this campaign to help with some financial hardships with the current virus outbreak in the world on my end, but also to bring a safe, fun place for people to express themselves and to enjoy a game during these times. This campaign will take place in a homebrew of the L5R/Oriental Adventures setting and I have been working on this campaign on and off for the past 10 years, adapting to other systems where I can. Don't have an encyclopedic knowledge of every character's story in the L5R setting? Not required in the slightest. To quote a certain pirate, “Eh, the 'rules' are more...-Suggestions-, really.” Session length Campaign sessions will be generally as long as everyone is willing to go, provided that I am prepared enough ahead and this does not conflict with everyone's schedule. Want to go for a couple of hours? Sure! 8-hour deep roleplay sessions? Screw it, let's go! Pay Please note that Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.&nbsp; Pay will be $10 USD per session, per player billed to Paypal. What can you expect? Want a GM that loves 50% Tactical combat and 50% Roleplay? Use those awesome skills to slaughter your enemies AND get a chance to see your character's stories in the narrative of the game's overarching world? Want to hear silly math-rock man make funny voice-voice? You're dang right I'll do everything in my power to make sure that your sessions are memorable! DM Perks Pretty much a free availability through the week with the occasional exception. Will do my best to weave your character's story into the narrative or to at least touch on them as the game goes on. A laid back GM that tends to go with whatever is cool rather than what's strictly in the rule book. An understanding GM that is willing to work with character concepts or custom craft things for my players to make their characters stand out. Game info Time is up for debate depending on a few factors, but mainly what will work best for everyone involved. My schedule is pretty open and I'm willing to work with people if need be. System will be either Pathfinder or Pathfinder 2.0 if interest is sufficient. Game will most likely take place in chat on Discord and combat through Roll20, though mediums are open to discussion.

Update Holy wow-ow-zowie, I was not expecting this level of response for this game. We already have three players within the first couple hours (!!!) of this post going up, so allow me to update y'all on this game. We have two slots left to join in on this awesome adventure that's been a passion project of mine since I was a kid. I have been getting a few questions about it, so allow me to update that here: This game will be run on Fridays, 7PM PST. My games tend to be a blend of 50% RP, 50% Tactical Combat with puzzles sprinkled in here and there. My games will have consequences for actions. Both choices and inaction will impact the story. I am -willing- to look at third party races and classes, but they must be approved by me before use in game due to some prior experiences of absolutely broken classes. As far as the setting itself, think your typical feudal japan setting with magic. That's what I envision my homebrew to be like in a lot of ways. We will be starting at level 1 and using milestones for leveling, both for ease of number crunching and to allow the story to flow more seamlessly without doing adjustments to difficulty behind the scenes. I do require that people communicate with me on if they are going to have to miss a session or be late. I tend to be a very easy going GM in general, but I do ask that you keep me in the loop when it comes to game night. :D If all of this sounds interesting to you, PLEASE feel free to send me a DM! Got one possible prospect for the game!&nbsp; Tentatively need one more for this game to start! As it has been asked before by multiple people, Character generation will be 4d6 dropping the lowest six times, then I allow an optional reroll of the lowest stat, but you take what you get on that roll, better or worse. Of course, if a player's stats are utter crap, I do allow rerolls on a case by case basis.
