Essential Kit Sidekicks (Add on Glitch) PLEASE HELP

I'm relatively new to Roll20 regular gameplay and I really need help with the Essentials Kit sidekicks.  I'm already well into my campaign but I want to give my party a sidekick.  Unfortunately because I started the campaign with the EK add ons from the jump, it leveled my sidekicks up to 7th level with no obvious way to make them first level (and/or level them up after that).  Someone PLEASE HELP.  Thank you!

You can create a new plain EK game, no add ons, and use the character vault to transfer the low level sidekicks to your game. Another option is to drag from the compendium and set a token for it, since they have no image attached:
