I am not sure where to bring this up, please move if this is not correct. The campaign I am part of is experiencing extreme lag issues. Approximately 12 hours ago, we tried to play our campaign. The DM got into her view of our current map after 10 minutes of waiting. The 4 character members could not even load it, after a 15 minute wait. I personally took over 8 minutes just to load the CHAT log and never did get to load the map. We tried going back to a previous map (which presumably is cached) and did get that to load (still took several minutes), but moving tokens was extremely slow, with lags of up to 3 minutes. Restarting Roll20 did not fix the issue. Changing settings in browsers did nothing. Even rebooting (in my case) my computer did nothing. It cannot be our service providers. I am in Australia. My DM is in Minnesota. One of our campaign members is in New York. We are using different service providers. Our equipment is completely different as well. One is using an Apple laptop, I am using a Ryzen 7 powered desktop, one is using an Asus ROG laptop. We are not experiencing lag in any other of our D&D applications (D&D Beyond, for example), it is just Roll20. I am a paid account holder of Roll20, as is our DM. Can anyone please advise what is wrong, how we can fix it and whether this is an ongoing problem? Thank you. Greg L.
