The world is a home brew medieval fantasy setting with warring nations, political intrigue and a mysterious past. Magic is intrinsic to the world but not in widespread use. I am developing a tome of lore on World Anvil so you can read more at <a href="http://neilcreek.com/clrpg" rel="nofollow">http://neilcreek.com/clrpg</a> Players will be free to choose any role, any story and any goals, but will need to work together as a party to progress the story, so we'll communicate how things overlap while creating characters. World-shaping events will occur, and players will participate in significant ways but the powers that be are strong and your choices won't necessarily tip the balance. I have a broad plot in mind, with significant plot developments but the details and ultimate direction will be determined by the group's actions. The house rule system is very straightforward and places the emphasis on telling story and not getting in the way. You won't be keeping track of dozens of variables and modifiers and you should easily be able to grasp the fundamentals in the first session. But there are consequences to your actions, either in the story, your body or something else. Don't be surprised if you lose an eye or end up with a peg leg if you try to take on a legendary warrior! I am an inclusive GM and will not tolerate sexism, racism, bullying, homophobia or any anti-social behaviour. My game world is also written so that sexism and racism are not part of the lore. Conflict comes from power struggles between the powerful and the powerless, humans and nature, magic and the sword. I'm new player friendly. The game is 18+ because I don't want to be limited in the topics we cover, but there is no specific adult only content planned. You won't need dice as have created an interactive character sheet and macros for use on the Roll20 tabletop. This is not a pay to play game, but if you feel generous and want to compensate me, any funds will be spent on assets for the game, and I want to commission some original artwork for player races and NPCs first.
