[LFG] Looking for Friends/Mentor to Show me the Ropes

I've gamed in the past but a long time ago when roll20 was new. I'd love to get back into role playing and gaming. I left off in a 4e campaign and haven't seen anything from 5e yet. I typically enjoy encounters the most and incorporating team strategy to character building. Having all this extra time with the Corona leaves me with a pretty open and flexible schedule. I'd love to meet a cool cat to re-introduce me to the gaming world. Help me put together a character or two and joining a campaign together and all that fun stuff. Hey guys, not quite sure if this is anything you'd be interested in but I'm a DM with 2 years experience and am looking to begin a paid campaign with players of all experience levels. I'm happy to determine amount based on what is feasible for the players, and would love to get some people back into the game! I'm free to chat most times of times of the day, and would love to talk further if anyone is interested!

Kent, I feel you on that! Playing the GM side of things can get frustrating if you dont have a group as inspired as you are to keep up progress. Creed, I appreciate your offer but I am looking for friendship, not business. I've seen some of the paid games and feel like I'm not ready to jump into that level, especially when I'm paying for it. It would be fun but not as long term as I'm looking to invest. If you have any other advice or maybe would like to chat one-on-one to see if we can move forward, let me know some times you'll be available to chat.  Thanks everyone!

Matt’s questions too, but if you’re available I suppose I could assemble some people and teach y’all dnd, I wouldn’t be available for any campaigns though, just show you all the ropes and maybe run a quick one shot if that’s what you’re looking for

Meatball! I've seen you around. Yeah That could be fun and I've corralled some interest with some other newbs on here. PM me with a couple days you have available to live chat and we can go from there. As for time zone, I'm in California on PST (i think thats GMT-7 ?) but am flexible because of corona time. I'm usually awake 8am - 3am PST so literally whatever is clever works for me.  For days of the week, I would prefer finding something on a weekday but Sunday nights feel like a great launching point should a more dedicated schedule come out of it.
