Hide type-in-chat-as-option for players to avoid spoilers?

I was wondering whether it is possible to disable the "as"-function for players in text chat (first post here - and I wasn't able to find another topic dealing with this anywhere...) Yesterday, I was testing my newest adventure's page layouts with a player when he discovered the down arrow in the chat window and browsed through various NPCs and enemies to chat as that he was not supposed to see yet and immediately went berserk: "Wooow. Who is that? And who is THAT? Wow, who are all these people?"  Superunlucky but - yeah: Is there a function that they can only chat as characters that I allow? Thanks in advance and I am glad I can use this awesome adventure builder

Hello. My guess is that you have set your npc/monsters permission to all players. Or set your player as a gm... but unlikely :) The player should only have options to speak as the player's name or as one of his own characters (based on permission config of the character sheets)
Hm. I don't really get it. When I rejoin as player, I still can speak as every character, NPC and monster in the game. Is this because it is still me who has the rights to do so? The main permission is configured in the character tab und "Can be edited and controlled by" right? Because even if I disable my rights to control and edit a specific character, I am still able to type in chat is him. Is that because I am the GM?

You can test what players can do by creating yourself an alternate account, and invite that account to your game. It's generally better to test things this way, because being GM does affect your primary account, even if you use the "log in as player" option.
Okay - I tried it out by creating a test account and it works! Thank you very much!
