Edited 1590261974
Campaign: Midnight: Crown of Shadow Game System: DnD 3.5 Midnight Campaign Setting What is Midnight: In the tradition of Lord of the Rings, adventure in a world that asks," What if the Dark Lord Won? Frequency:   Play by Post - we as a group post typically at least once a day, to continue the ongoing story, I use roll 20 for Map/sheets and combat while leveraging Discord for continuous roleplay. My expectation would be to average at the least one interaction a day with noticeable allowances depending on real life events etc.  Start Date: In Progress campaign.Your character would join the party through an in game story driven event.  What am I looking for?:  1-2 players. Players who enjoy character development over min/maxing. Since I am still learning how to best run a campaign through the PBP environment, patience and understanding is needed. Midnight content is pretty in depth and we have a very helpful group, but a desire to learn about the setting will be needed to fully understand how to create and play your character to its fullest potential. Brief Description: A group of splintered resistance soldiers were tasked with escorting a crate across a desolate plains, along the way they've encountered many difficulties including recently being captured and escorted to a local 'House' that serves as The Shadow's local authority in the area. Players that will be joining, will most likely be joining the party at this point.  Content Allowed: D&D 3.5 Core PHB/DMG, All Midnight Published Content is allowed(I can provide content as needed to help you with your character.) Starting character level = 6 - additional starting details can be made available during discussion about game interest. Any other questions feel free to reach out. Thanks. Things to Expect: Low Magic Setting Grim and dark experience  Unique Midnight cultures to choose from rather than the standard D&D races Heroic Paths, which are unique to each character Magic system that allows for more varied casters Please reply here, pm me or add me to discord if you are interested. Discord: Alex Summers#6824
Open to newer players to 3.5 system, as long as the desire to join a play by post campaign and learning the lore, etc. Our group and myself will help guide anyone interested along the way. Hope to hear from some interested parties soon!
I’d like to play a 3.5 game but not familiar with play by post and I’d need refresher on 3.5
Thanks for reaching out to me Richard! I look forward to hearing more about your potential character. Also -- for anyone following this, I'd like to say that our group is very willing to help ease in a newer player to the 3.5/Midnight system. We are looking for those mainly interested in character development and helping our PBP grow through in game fun and not so much a straight focus on rules/mechanics. If this increases your interest in what I may be offering, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
I love dnd 3.5 but never did Midnight: crown of shadow sub system. Can you give more detail about it please. I know you said "In the tradition of Lord of the Rings, adventure in a world that asks," What if the Dark Lord Won?" Can you expand on that also please. Tyvm.

Midnight Sub System: Midnight replaces many core classes and introduces a new magic system. Race choices, cultures, etc are all very lore specific. It uses all 3.5 rules etc, but the magic system is probably the biggest change. I will be able to provide links to the source content where you would be required to make your character from. From a story perspective: Midnight is a world where the dark god named Izrador, eventually conquered the world. There are large packs of resistance groups scattered throughout the world but the majority of the population are slaves or simply work in occupied areas. Freedom is gone, there are no heroes. There is just misery and darkness from The Shadow. But alas, no dark story is without some light. This is where the group comes in, a splintered off group of resistance fighters known as Roland's Raiders, this group is where your character will join. They are currently captured inside of an enemy camp, with the promise that if they are good obedient slaves they will get to walk away alive, instead of dead. Your character will embark on a campaign that will force your character to make hard choices, day in and day out. It's a cruel world in Midnight.

One being game tonight. So i want to give them fair chance. If one doesn't work out I would love to put a application in. I let you know.
Still looking for players if anyone is interested in learning more. Feel free to reach out!
