grouping of tokens not "working" half the time

Hi folks, I've been having issues with this for ages, and thought I'd ask for advice here. I often throw NPC groups at players (like squads), or let my players do things like mount mini-scorpion-ballistas on their wagons for a caravan mission. For these things I use the advanced function to group tokens. Half the time when I want to drag the grouped tokens, only one token is moved but the "grouping" is maintained, and the next time I can move all together. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated! Cheers :)

If you click-and-drag on an object, only that specific object will be moved. If you click to select, then click again to move, the whole group will move. It's meant to be a way to move a single token without needing to ungroup it.

It's very quirky, and it took me a long time to get the hang of it, but it really gives you the best of both worlds.
