Here's my idea. Characters are all late teens. They are all growing up together in a small town. Something galvanizes them to become adventurers but they have to raise funds and skills first. The first part of the campaign would be little adventures around their home town. Finding ways to earn money, and gather the equipment and skills they need to grow into their classes. Real zany, RP heavy stuff. Emphasis on fun, comedy filled exploits.(Think, The Goonies but high fantasy) Here's the catch. Each session is DM'd by a different player (Like guest directors). When you're DMing, the party controls your character or you write them out of that weeks adventure somehow. The adventures can be original homebrew, Theater of the mind or customized published one shots. I'm looking for DM's that want to step out from behind the screen and players that want to start DMing. I have the monster manual purchased and lots of maps I can share, so setting up a little adventure should not be that hard. Has anyone tried this? Interested? I'd like to do once a week or twice a month. Sunday-Thursday 8pm to whenever EST.
