Can I edit the modules but preserve the link?

Before I go breaking something...I bought Curse of Strahd here and I am fashioning certain aspects of it to fit the party, which means I will be changing a few names. I know I can go to an NPC sheet and edit it to change their name but does that break the link in the module that brings up their character sheet? Or do I have to reestablish a link to a new character sheet? If so how do I do that. I know just enough here to get me into trouble lol. Thanks!

It will probably not break the link as the links use the Character ID to load the character.  Give it a try and see, and let us know for certain!

So far so good. I edited the sheet/token and just put the New character name next to the link in the module and highlighted it as a reminder to myself. When I erased the old character name the link went away. So I just left that part as it was.
